The way most Hardcore sounds today it may as well be dead.
I'm hoping this will be a good album. Need to get some love back for the core.

LoL! Posting up a PM, classy.
Although I have no problems with any of that being public, to be fair, it's still somewhat over the line IMO.
I'm still desperately trying to keep things on track, and will likely have to drive 6+ hours tommorow in a car that has the rear bumper hanging off because it got hit by a lorry recently. Stuff like this really helps ramp up the emotional trauma.

Buy HU4, that's all the support we need
It's a shame the tracklist is being taken in the way it is, it really is a lot more varied than it looks on paper and is definitely up there with, if not better than, HU3.
The amount of submissions this time around was RIDICULOUS, so many awesome tracks had to be dropped. That doesn't rule most of them out of future albums, though!
Bring it on!

Negativity in a Hardcore Underground thread! Had to happen sometime i suppose. I DO like the look of the majority of the tracklist and I WILL buy the album but like it or not something about it has failed to grab my attention in the way the others have.
HU1 remains one of my all time favourite albums - and i include ALL genres in that, HU2 didn't immediately jump out at me but i eventually bought it and was glad i did, HU3 was and still is a fantastic, varied album. So why does HU4 leave me feeling a bit underwhelmed?
Honestly i don't really know. Tracklist looks good, still decent variation, fantastic freeform frivolity (my main CD of interest and i'm not even a big freeform follower). I like the majority of artists involved too. I think it is true to say that Hardcore Underground has set a standard that is hard to match so maybe it's that?
I really don't want to 'enjoy' the album when it's released. I 'enjoyed' the last HTID album but won't remember the majority of the tunes by the end of the month!
I want it to leave me lying in a puddle of my own bodily fluids, thankful that you've pulled it off again (not literally) and provided us with another groundbreaking release - maybe it's the fear of it not being 4 brilliant releases in a row that's leaving those little doubts in my head?
I SO want it to be as brilliant as the rest and really hope it lives up to CDJay's (always wise) words.
I'll be so glad if i can come and resurrect this topic in a couple of months and say how wrong i was!

I'm home now, and I pulled out the feather duster and given this thread a quick spring cleaning in regards to posts made about the PM's (private messages) that were made public, in the past we've allowed it if both partys are ok with it.
opinions, of course, are fine - private messages, of course, are private.
to those that wrote posts that no longer appear (of which only a few have been removed), try not to be to angry, i dont *think* anyone here wants to see this thread turning in the direction it was (turning a thread about something very positive for the scene..into something negative)
just to get things back on track..
topic title: Hardcore Underground 4: TRACKLIST

Besides the fact that this tracklist looks amazing; it has ****ing gabber. This could very easily turn out to be the essential hardcore compilation. Freeform, ravebreaks, gabber, uk, jesus ****.
