postal strikes are about to hit in - so even when it is shipped probably best to be patient - its going to be WELL worth it! :)
Postal strikes start on Thursday so I think we'll get them before then.. I always receive Play items 2 days after they're posted.

With regard to iTunes and digital retail in general; it's a tough call really. I've yet to see evidence of it being truly worthwhile releasing compilations digitally. Ok people will pirate the CD's too anyway, and as much as that undermines all the hard work and money we put into these projects, there's very little we can do about it except perhaps appeal to peoples better nature. That's why the HU CDs come in such cool packaging, and we strive to give that packaging (and the CDs themselves) such vibrant artwork. If we want people to desire a physical product, its got to be worth desiring right?
I don't think we're old fashioned or naive about the modern music industry, far from it even, but when we intend each of these albums to be a true...snapshot of our scene at any given time, we want that to be more than just a file on someones iPod you know? Who knows whats around the corner, but for now I think we'll just stick to giving our singles a parallel digital release for now. We do everything we can to make sure each of these albums is something you feel is worth owning on CD, and judging by the pre-order figures we're doing ok so far this time. We just hope you like it!

Well said and I agree!
because uk/happy/upfront hardcore, whichever u wanna call it, is such an exclusive genre to me, i cherish many of the cd albums and compilations that I have purchased. i look at my collection and even thouh i have only about 6 of the bonkers compilations and a few others i've picked up here and there, i look at them and admire them so much, especially now that ppl are more into getting digital files. also, if somehow i lose all my song files, i'd be devastated if i lost my hardcore files because i listen to them so much. which is why i also consider my cds as backup. any other genre and i wouldn't even bother going and purchasing them again.
***by the way, i'm seeing that a couple people are selling HU4 on ebay, specifically mazmusic. is he a licensed seller or should i go to juno or amazon for the album?

Regarding people selling it on ebay, it's most likely somebody buying a few copies and selling them on hoping for a profit - as happens with a lot of stuff these days. Not particularly a bad thing, as long as it's genuine copies and at least the HU lads are getting the sales.
Round about this time every year, more and more stuff that will be sold out in the shops will be appearing on ebay for silly money. If i had the time i'd be able to make a killing on stuff that's going to be rare at Chritmas!

Fair points, I guess it is nice for some people to have the cool CD and packaging. With the other 3 HU compilations being the best CDs I've ever bought, I'd happily buy HU4 if it came packaged in a sandwich bag
I still wonder if it would be worthwhile releasing the compilations digitally after CD stock runs out though. That would surely be the best of both worlds; people will buy CDs as they don't want to wait (and for the quality as you mentioned), but if they do happen to miss out, at least it's still available digitally! I may be mistaken but isnt this what happened with HU2? http://www.play.com/Music/MP3-Download-Album/4-/7714597/HARDCORE-UNDERGROUND-vol-2/Product.html
