I thought the idea was that those that buy the Completionist bundle choose the CD tracklisting based on their favourites from that bundle?

We were asked what tracks we'd like to see on it, it wasn't a multiple choice thing.
If they put all the unreleased tracks on one CD then nobody would buy the bundles, so that wouldn't really make much buisness sense :P

I originally thought that was the idea too, but Jay asked the buyers of the Completionist bundle to write down their top 25-30 sharkey tracks for CD2 and 3.
Anyways, here's my comparison for Rainbow Island:
Updated:
First track is a my vinyl reripped to FLAC, cleaned (oh the horror!) and normalized.
Second track is the original rip of my vinyl to MP3 with just a slight normalization.
Third track is the completionist version

With all the hype and expectations, this release seems to have been a bit of a cluster****.

I wouldn't say so. Can't really call it that when the project hasn't been released yet. :P

The tracks will come as they come. After waiting all these years, I don?t think another couple of weeks will kill anyone.

I think the reason the completionist tracks haven't been released yet is because they are planning to release them in the bundle packages that will be available to everyone. CDJay will probably release a newsletter/post releasing the pre-orders for January's HU releases and those bundles will be part of it. The only thing the completionist guarantees is that we get them all for a much lower cost, not necessarily first access.
Thats my theory anyways. I'm probably wrong though.

If that was indeed the case then I feel it should have been communicated upon the announcement of the completionist tracks. It came across as being all available day one on 13th December. I really hope Hardcore Underground takes all these comments on board for when they do the others for Vinylgroover etc.

The stem mix, and work required for it, took significantly longer than expected.
The tracks used for that, and not featured on CDs 1-3, will be going up shortly. Everything else we are still pulling together and licensing (hey, Vladel, Hixxy cleared the Toytown remix etc today. )
Obviously I want everything up yesterday, and the CDs shipped already, but getting this album across the finish line is genuinely the hardest thing I've done. We're very happy with it, and we're still working on it.
Once the dust settles, and completionists have access to the extended catalog, I suspect everyone will be quite content. As I've said before, even if we can't get something, or we later source a better version of something (I really want to find a few things I only had redline or intended for vinyl masters, specifically) we will update in perpetuity.
I'm guessing most people alread know this, but CDs 1-4 are all available to download now. E-Nuff will be added this week, and I'll get some completionist stuff off to kick off the new year

What happened to the stem mix tracks that were supposed to be up before NYE?

Hey CDJay I have a suggestion for your next scene archival projection. Instead of doing Stompy or Storm how bout Robbie Long/TNC. I have noticed that you cannot get any more TNC mp3's anywhere anymore and I was speaking with Robbie Long a few years ago and he expressed interest in releasing a dvd of mp3s of his entire back catalog but nothing came of it. Apparently he had alot of unreleased material as well

He only asked me if I would be down to buy his entire discography for 50 quid and that he would burn it on a dvd. This was a few years ago as he was interested in making some spare money to fund some Fidget House/Electro he wanted to start making. He was going to post something on here to test the waters on the dvd project and if he got enough want he would do it
