This has been a fiasco of an album release.
Why didn't you consolidate your efforts or wait a few extra months to get this project (which seems impossible not to be a success) completely right? It's frustrating that as a fan of the music, I'm given the wrong versions of songs because someone 'assumed' it was the right one amongst the 2.5 CD's of music made available..
I get that you work hard, but everything good you bring is counteracted by delays and communication problems. It's a sad state of issues, and I hope that for your sake that you get CDs out before Christmas to undo some of the damage.
I feel like you should focus your efforts on less projects at once in order to get them right. Beyond Sharkey, the marketing for Hardcore Heaven Vol 3 has completely bypassed me, and I'm not detached from the scene's news. The only news I've heard about Al Storms' Fractured Mind has come from the man himself.
HU is the best Hardcore has in terms of labels. Please make the best of the opportunity!

That's a surprisingly easy question to answer.
It was a straight choice between jumping in front of the bullet or the project dying again and this time forever. Either we set pre Xmas deadlines, and fight tooth and nail to hit them, *or* phrases like "March" or "Mid next year" started getting uttered which in terms of getting this 16 year delayed project out in any form is the same thing as never.
Sound Assassin is annoyingly tricky, we knew we had the "wrong" version for months but it was closest to the B3 version. When I was down there we found a DAT which contained both vocal and instrumental mixes alongside a bunch of other B3 stuff. We're still looking through but these are teeny tiny differences and Sharkey works a 80-90 hour week and lives a few away. DATs keep getting chewed up, adding a sheen of tension to proceedings.
As for 2.5 CDs... there's currrently one track missing, and one being swapped out for an alternative sourced master.
We're ramping up the advertising for the other projects this week, there's a podcast coming and we have an Xmas "plan". It doesn't involve the CDs because there's just no way of getting over the fact that slip this time of year is unrecoverable due to general lead times, plant closures, delivery costs etc.

If only people could be more straight forward with their answers like you, instead of saying "haters, you make me depressed" they could be honest and say "I don't really like making Hardcore, please stop hounding me :("

Ok some opinions. I spent ?131 on my last order and this was part of it and it's not been a big sucess for me but the track selection on the album just vindicates the decision to buy the completionist package so i can get what i want and hopefuilly the value i wanted.
It was nice to get dual illuminations which was pretty much all i was interested in from disk 2 & 3 so that leaves the remix disk.
A major surprise was the Jakka B remix, i never like his music but that remix scores well for me.
M-Project is always well received if the genesis remix just followed his generic formula he has used for scott brown remixes.
The Bonkers anthem remix isn't bad for an old one and wasn't the version i want.
The Dual illuminations remix was a nice surprise.
As mentioned before the F&D update to todays the day is eclisped by it's two predecessors.
I wasn't really bothered by the rest.

On the plus side you'll definitely get all your preferred versions. Smile.
Edit: If you paid that, I get the entitlement. I do When people call something a fiasco when there's a Cube Hard remix of Sound Assassin and Black Rain is finally released I long to see the alternative multiverse where it was better. Did HTID save it all and I got knighted and paid for my efforts ? Let me live there. It sounds magical.

@CDJay I feel like you are missing Eliptons point a little.
Rather then simultaneously juggling three projects, you could have focused on getting one to the finish line to a high standard. Perhaps then the physical product might have been delivered on time.
I don't know you or your story, and i'm sure you have your reasons for every decision you make which you really don't need to justify to anybody. Just that from an outsiders perspective it looks like you are juggling way too much at the same time.
At the end of the day HU is all there is left shipping any new hardcore music, so in any case I am grateful for all the hard work you and the rest of the team put in. Thank you!

It's as I said. Without the deadline this album would never happen. I failed once three years ago. I knew it would be traumatic, but as the only person capable of saving this catalogue I blindly ran into traffic anyway. I almost regret it.

The music got out and if they hadn?t got this far, everyone would be moaning that it hasn?t happened yet so while it may not be everyone?s cup of tea, the alternative is much worse and I think people need to be grateful.

The lobe highlight is that I predicted this outcome and planned ahead. The Lone reason I'm not looking at HTID Australia and our delayed unit shipment is I actually have a plan to placate reasonable people. I feel bad. It's an outcome no one wants no matter how likely. Maybe I have a sweetheart deal. Smile.

I have to agree. If this didn't get released it probably would never have so I am glad that it is here now. At least I know the completionist edition is just around the corner and not a future release.

Is there any chance the rest of the tracks from the completionist edition will make their way to future CDs? Like a part 2, part 3 of the series or similar.

I'm not convinced it would be worthwhile, the general digital availability is most important going forward. We said all along the idea was to rescue the catalogue above all else.
As far as juggling multiple projects goes, I led the Sharkey album, Fracus led HH3, Al entirely handled his own album (he's one of about five people I'd trust to that). HH3 was plagued by licensing problems, which delayed that, Sharkey album missed deadlines even after we allowed for the aforementioned.
HH3 wasn't even the original plan we were working on something else and got thrown under the bus yet again. People bemoan the state if the scene, but it's far worse from where we're sitting. If we had any self preservation instincts we'd have run screaming by now.
Ellipton mentioned the advertising, the sad reality is that engagement makes social media spending cost efficient. We just put out the third major comp in twelve months and two artist albums... Who's even mentioning it? Any of the major promoters or so called leading lights? No. There is no scene; its utterly ****ed.

I would probably get this completionist package if I knew the version of Sound Assassion from Bonkers 3, the Bonkers 1 version and Best Of Bonkers version of Toytown, Return To Toytown and his various 96/97 tunes were on there.
When the completionist package is released can someone please put a list up?
