yeah i always thought the whole adding "bonus cd" to things was a bit daft - i think it would be more bonus if you had to actually send off for the "bonus" cd at least then it would feel like you are getting somthing extra..

wierd, i havent seen any hardstyle albums out there...there is a discusting amount of really boring hardstyle out there
its like Drum N Bass in the way that you have to sift through about 3000 tracks just to find 20 that are any good...
Whaat? its alot easier to find good dnb tracks than hardcore if u ask me.. and for hardstyle.. blah dont think ive heard any interesting hardstyle tracks

can we get back on track on here please! (I feel like a teacher) anyway as it looks like a Hixxy, Sharkey and Unknown album, Do you think DJ 1 and 3 will actually play some decent stuff or the usual label stuff?

I imagine Hixxy can play some great stuff if he wants to. We all know who can, he just hasn't as of late. Even his previous Bonkers mixes have pushed the Bonkers level of "commercialism." I hope his disc is the most commercial of the 3, it suits him, but with 100% hardcore tracks and not remixes or samples of pop songs, that stuff bugs me.

Hixxy isn't even that much of a pop remix whore these days, considering only 5 out of the 19 tracks on his CXH5 disc were pop remixes/covers/references. I mean Clubland is THE pop-core outlet, but still he manages to get us 14 original 100% Hardcore productions to enjoy through it. I don't understand how Happy Hardcore enthusiasts can totally overlook tracks like Deep In The Night, No 1, Face In The Crowd, Now That I Found You, MDMA, Zamboocan & such... All proper Happy Hardcore to me, with addictive and nicely written melodies.
About his hypothetical Bonkers(18) disc, I'm pretty sure it would, like his previous Bonkers mixes, feature a good variety of other artists, most of them being from the RBC camp of course. Isn't that understandable though? Didn't the much praised Sharkey & Kevin Energy CD on Bonkers 17 contain mostly N.E.C. stuff?

Its got no number (like the new HTID) I can just see it now
CD1 - mixed by Squad-E
CD2 - mixed by Re-Con
CD3 - Bonkers classics mixed by Sharkey
Please no, if it looks anything like that i think it will be the first bonkers i havent actually owned!
Sharkey has already done a Bonkers classic mix on Best of Bonkers (although a few tunes wern't on Bonkers)

i think hixxy's music has gotten caught in the past and thus his music is very mellow and not quite up to the production standards of darwin, brisk/ham, al storm and the prospering dj's like orbit1 and jakazid. hixxy's name is a legend and is well known. but i think that this is the main basis of his popularity. he's better known to the new hardcore people who know the genre so well. his musics easier to find and because they are basic remixs of pop or whatever, they like them. i expect hixxy's tunes in bonkers will be very few and far between and even so following a fairly dated style.
i expect that other producer's like darwin, al storm etc will prosper from having a track on there along with the better access to the raving community thanks to AATW. i only hope that neither hixxy, DS, squad-e & breeze feature too much..
if it's left to them to make a hardcore cd, just because they're signed to aatw, then we may be disappointed.
