mmmm maybe, but they arent a stupid company, they were around when real old skool was the new thing... an awfully long time...
they were the guys who released N-trance's old stuff back in 1992 "set you free" etc etc

Oh god another tarted up slapper on the cover of bonkers im assuming?
And restarting the series is ****ing idiotic imo. Bonkers is like a legacy to hardcore when hardcore goes back underground (in 3 years with NEC and Lethel theory at the helm i think) this could kill bonkers. If it ends up as another CLXH pile of wank stain shite then i wont be buying it. Actually i probably will aslong as sharkey still has a disc lol.
But either way im drunk and im pissed off!!!!

Restarting the series and even cutting out a theme completely so some chavy girl is on the front? NONONO this is ****ing disgraceful. But remember, the main blame doesn't go on AATW, it goes on the money hungry dj's who aren't passionate enough for the industry to keep a tradition running. **** them, take your cheque and run.
Hixxy and Unknown have never had a mix that blew me away. I don't think they are bad by any means, but nothing that is super great. Sharkey seems like the only possible savior for this release...but you never know. I would rather it be Unknown than Brown. Brown's latest mixes don't amaze me like the old ones did.

Innit. They're just chock full of all of his tracks with some gabber to finish off. But you have to admit they are nowhere near as boring and half-assed as hixxy's mixes.

Scott Brown's mixes from Bonkers 9 to 12 followed that structure and it worked perfectly. All these mixes were full of great Evolution stuff and other good varied stuff, plus the gabber at the end of these albums is about the only gabber I really can enjoy. ever.
I gotta agree though, everything after these albums wasn't hitting as hard.

IMHO pairing up with Gammer was the best thing they did to Brown (Neophyte was also nice but I didn't need Bonkers to do an all Gabber just felt too gimmicky for me). Scott Brown and Marc Smith though just felt like Scott took a back seat and let Marc handle the entire mix himself.

Despite Scott's mixes before Bonkers 15 mainly containing his own tunes, they still had a great mixture of styles. Still would have preferred a mix from Scott than Unknown but will be interesting to see what will feature on it.
I'm not sure about Scott's mixes after Bonkers 12, not hitting as hard. The others were still very good mixes (especially 13 & 16, 17) but there were some elements of a few didn't like as much.
I wouldn't say Hixxy's mixes were boring. The ones from the recent albums have been good. 11 & 12 were excellent.
