i know i wont'! have have 2 put my 2 cents in!
i personally don't love gabber, i like a select few songs. greatest track of gabber for me is Twist by Tommyknocker. i can take some gabber but not all
and yea gabber seems to be more popular than uk hardcore and freeform ppl recognize it more worldwide.
as far as gabber a subgenre of hardcore or hardcore a subgenre of gabber, that will always be in dispute because there is no solid way of proving it because it will all be based on a matter of opinion. it's like the chicken or the egg.
damn no wonder why so many ppl don't like u! you should really try something out b4 you speak against it.

No, Gabber is a subgenre of Hardcore and it can be proven. Hardcore started in the late 1980's, it evolved from House music, it wasn't fast at all, and it sounded completely different than the Hardcore we know from the 90s. I have Hardcore records from the late 80s - nothing to do with Gabber. Gabber came much later. And everything split it different genres.

I can understand your sentiments allthough I don't share them.
After the 90's the mentality shifted from "hard kicking partytracks" to "wanna-be-the-hardest tracks".
Stuff like industrial hardcore made it's appearance, darkcore expanded it's reach, overdistorting kicks became the norm, etc.
It kind of lost it's innocence, you know?
that said, I can still enjoy my dose of "gabber" on a regular basis but I'm a lot more selective in which tracks I find awesome and which I don't.
I`ve found that it takes me alot longer to find a Gabber tune that I like, than it is to find a hardcore tune I like. That`s just me though.

This thread is hilarious.
I don't really like gabber, honestly the Bonkers 15 disc was just an hour long distorted bass kick. Yawn. It's fun to dance to, it's pretty intense, but I can't sit here and listen to it.
