what will folks be buying? do you even play consoles?
personally i'll be buying the ps4 it's the logical choice since i've owned every console apart from the psx plus with all the bad press the xbox one has been getting (i was going to buy both at some point) i'll be sticking with the ps3 for at least another 1-2 years no way i can afford to buy the ps4 on release day i'm considering stopping smoking just so i can buy it a little quicker

at the moment, Wii U seems the most likely purchase for me. Microsoft is definitly shooting itself in the leg here. But that's moslty because I am signle player guy.
Sony tried to release the PS3 as a multimedia station aswell (albight without online requirements). That and the pricetag didnt really market the PS3 well until they released the slim version.

Well I already have a PC that's more powerful than either the PS4 or XB1 so I'm not that excited yet. :P I'll probably pick up a PS4 for the exclusives and I have the Wii U already. Will probably skip the XB1 as it's looking like a fail so far. They may turn me around though if they show me games I actually want.

I will be buying absolutely nothing. I'm starting to get rid of my PS3, I really should have done it last year. I really haven't been playing it much and I don't see myself getting too excited about any other games from the PS and Xbox series. The only thing I was holding back my PS3 was for the re-release of Final Fantasy X, but then I realized it's a bit silly to hold back for an old game.
If there is anything that I would want to get, it's more than likely the Wii U. I still love the Zelda series, and if the Wii U Zelda game looks badass, hopefully they'll have it available as a bundle for me to purchase.

I was never a big gamer to begin with, so nothing new has caught my interest. The most I've been using it lately is as a blu ray player, which in my opinion is a shitty blu ray player. Any time there was a dark scene you couldn't make out shit of what it was. And it's not my TV either.

microsoft seem to be trying to cater for pretty much everyone and sony are focusing primarily on gamers i'm going to have to broaden my game selection over the last 4 months i've began to get rid of most of my games only been playing black ops 2 fifa 13 and GT5 the wierd thing about my gaming habits since i bought my ps3 is i stopped playing rpg's i used to play loads on the ps2 and ps1 but got addicted to cod and fifa i played GT5 non-stop in 2010-11 but now i play it once every few weeks i'm getting pretty bored of gaming tbh maybe the ps4 will change my mind but i'm reading more books now which is wierd because i've never sat dow and read a book since i was 11-12
maybe i'm past the everyday gaming phase in my life my music production has pretty much stopped aswell so has my mixing none of them seem to appeal to me atm which is really out of character for me

Very true especially since the PS3 was like 700 USD when it came out! Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but it was a ridiculous price point.
