Title says it all really. Old or series airing ATM.
I'll start of by listing mine. Personally love post-apocalyptic movies and series. So extremely exited about
Revolution and Defiance, especially the former.
Others watching Arrow, Game of Thrones, Continuum, Big Bang Theory and, Parks and Recreation.
Also watch Walking Dead and Falling Skies, but their on break now.
For older ones; just finished watching the ultimate collection of Babylon 5 (the best scifi there is) and on the second season of Start Trek: The Original Series.

on a related subject though, I'm reading through the script and finale of Stargate Universe season 3 (the season that never was).
this chap wrote scripts for the entire seasons 3 and a final movie length finale - at one point he had to take them offline because it looked like something was going to happen with them, but they're back up now - they're blindingly good and read perfectly like what would have been the episodes.

there, I said it.
My friend once forced me to watch it (first 15 ep's or so). Didn't like it at all. Some say its the best Star Trek series, but i thought it was really boring. For a serie in space station, Babylon 5 pisses all over it. Not that its a pissing contest.

I think that was the last good space scifi series that has aired. Really bummed that it was canceled. Also that season 2 didn't even get a BD release.

Yep - I've never liked DS9, when I was old enough to watch TV I loved Star Trek:TNG, but when DS9 aired I lost interest quickly, no exploration, too political - so I only watched a few episodes and then eventually gave up. Now, eons later, i've decided to watch it all through as i've seen all the other series' bar DS9 and Enterprise - so when I'm bored the wifey and I watch it....and yep, still not fond of it at all.
As for Stargate Universe, I'm mad as hell they cancelled it, because I loved it so hard.
At the same time, I'm mad at the creators...because perhaps they should have first put their efforts into finishing off Stargate Atlantis before starting on universe.
But Universe had such an epic story line...I don't think any sci-fi has ever had a plot like that before. (without giving any spoilers away, I'm refering to desinty's *true* purpose).
so with any luck, these final season scripts will fill that void, and finalise the series properly.
They're fantastic so far, looking forward to "ending" the series.

lol Whispering I'd like to know who exactly these people are who think the series was a best in the franchise. So I can slap the shit out of it.
I haven't seen the whole thing but I remember watching the earlier episodes and I didn't like it at all. The thing with DS9 it took a really long time before it got good. The whole thing with the Dominion Wars on the last half of the series was great.
But yea I didn't like that they just sat there on a space station without any exploring. I think it would have gone a lot better had they done it these days.
For me my favorite has been Voyager because it has exploring and it has a bit of a drama side too, not always sci-fi-ish.
As far as shows I watch currently, I'm definitely a sucker for Once Upon a Time. I like how they cleverly tie all these fairytales to each other. Granted the show is nothing but a huge advertisement for disney movies lol it's very well done imo.
Also like Supernatural. Didn't like the show the first season so I didn't start picking up on watching it again until 3 years ago. Has definitely gotten a bit more gory which I like.
Oh and Revenge. I don't know why but I'm trying not to become to serious a fan of it but it just gets me every time. The show isn't nearly as violent as I'd like it to be but I think it's a great one.

Haven't watched anything in a while, actually. Last thing I watched was the first six or seven episodes of The Newsroom. Pretty solid, if not a bit overly saturated with unrealistically intelligent and snappy dialogue. That's Aaron Sorkin for you, though.
I got half-way through Boardwalk Empire season three before Christmas as well, but it's just so uninspiring compared to the first two seasons (which were nothing more than 'pretty good' themselves). Buscemi is poorly cast as the lead role.
Don't really watch any drama of any description on British TV because it's all so fcuking poorly produced.

The same friend that forced me to watch it. I've actually never watched any Star Trek properly. So i was quite surprised that Star Trek: TOS was actually good when i started watching it.

Outcasts was the best series ever to come out of UK. And you guys didn't watch it, so it got canceled.

The effects on Doctor Who are fcuking embarrassing. Apologies to anyone that likes it, but I've always thought the show (in most of its forms) is fcuking dreadful. I just "don't get it", I guess.
I think I've briefly discussed this with someone on here before, but there was this series (a joint venture between BBC and an American production company) called Defying Gravity. It was slow to build, but I found it fcuking captivating towards the end. I was MORTIFIED to discover that it was not renewed for a second season. It was all for a really shit reason as well (the minutia of which escape me now). Something to do with someone doing next to no marketing for it before it aired, leading to abysmal viewing figures.
I went tearing around the internet for an entire day reading about the whole thing. I read this extensive interview with the creators about their plans for how the story would have continued and it was fcuking SICK.

Discussed it in the "recent purchases" topic, after i said i was dumbfounded that i only had heard about it on amazon recommendations. Truly awesome scifi series. Will probably watch it again soon.
Anyway, just placed an order for Earth 2, Jeremiah and Stargate Universe (still hadn't bought them, but remember again that i should). Going to start watching Jericho again in the meanwhile, since it'll take a week to get them.
