I don't get how you get mixed from "digital rights of his back catalogue"?
But I do have a question about that, does that mean I have the right to mix them as a DJ?

I think it'd only he fair to have at least 1 or 2 CDs that are unmixed, and then mix CD and the stem mix. 1 CD of old Sharkey tracks, and one CD of remixes. That way people who can't afford the completionist album can at least have a few tracks to mix with. But hey, that's just my opinion ;)

one of my worries is the 28-30 tracks we are to select for the 2 unmixed CDs for the people who didn't get the completionist bundle :P

It'll no doubt be a fairly obvious tracklisting, but I'd trust it more to be "definitive" with input from the informed fetishists.
Starting on the consultation tomorrow, as it goes!

Is sharkey also going to pick some tracks, or is that what his stem mix is for?

Is the completionist version, or rather the back-cat available on a limited basis?

I am not that much familiar yet with Sharkey but reading all these enthusiastic reactions I guess it should make a great addition to my collection, but the price is a bit high for me atm. I was thinking is there anyone that I could buy the completionist edition together with to split the costs? It's just about the digital files for me, the cd I will buy myself apart from this. Please send me a PM :)
I get it, when it comes to some stuff, but this is hundreds of tracks spanning '95 - '13. ?100 sounds like a lot, but once we're done splitting it into bundles for people who want to pick and choose it'll cost FAR more than that.
Once I've had some sleep (78 hours and counting since that last occurred) I'll list some tracks you can youtube. Please don't fileshare, this has cost me thousands of pounds and the last vestiges of my sanity

I just ordered the completionist edition, I was afraid of going to regret it when I didn't :)

Can't believe this is actually happening! thought it would never see the light of day tbh lol but buzzing it is! and was actually wondering who was going to release it when I seen earlier posts seeing it was going to come out, thinking it wouldn't be hardcore underground

Also whats a "stem mix" like stemming from the start or something?
Well I hope so anyway, hopefully he starts of with happy hardcore mixes into 90's freeform and then into post millennium freeform

100 quid for Sharkey's entire back catalogue really is a steal you guys.

A stem mix probably refers to the new audio format pioneered by Native Instruments and supported by some of their pricier hardware. It's where each element of the track is separated in a single file and can be independently controlled such as taking just the bassline from a track and combining with the melody and vocals of another for example, but live.

I'm not sure i'd pay 100 quid for Vinylgroover though, im not sure there are that many tracks as there are with sharkey.

the backcat (plus extras) at 100 quid will be limited. I think cdjay wrote somewhere that the backcat will be bundled in pieces, and will costs more altogether to get later

SO amazing.
For some bizarre reason I took a few hours to make the decision.
Is it just solo tracks or are we talking alias and collabs.... early nu energy stuff?!?!

Exactly as Samination said; it's just a better value version for the first 200 interested buyers. Everything will still be available afterwards, with the exception of the signed art prints.
