Been very quiet on here lately. This might get people talking again.

If you don't like this, feel free to say so - but don't go on a massive rant about this kind of stuff in general. It's fcuking tedious and repetitive. Similarly, if you do like it, don't be all provocative and cu*ntish about it to the non-fans.

Only listened to the second breakdown, but to be honest, I did like it. The first breakdown is absolutely beautiful imo and it has a pretty nice buildup. Liked the drop (I can't complain that this is drumstep, because he never put it off as hardcore. It says drumstep in the title. )
Could have used the vocals a little less in the drop because it gets a bit repetitiveive by the second breakdown, otherwise, pretty solid tune. Liked how fat the kick was.

Yeah, I don't actually believe he believes he's marking Hardcore there. That's totally fair enough.

Ha ha! You can say it's dog shit if that's what you think. I just wanted to put people off getting into lengthy, more generalised dialogues.

I think the main reason people might immediately bin this is because they're "ruining" a "classic".
Contrary to what they may believe, the creation of this song will not destroy the original one. Its still there, you know. Go listen to it. Neither will it cause styles to hang his head him shame - he does this stuff too.

Lol, those who underestimate electronic really get on my nerves complaining a classic has been "destroyed". XD I have exactly the same argument as you do. By theory, they are never destroyed.

Ok, what i really think.

It's an absolute f***ing abomination! I like the original (although nowhere near as much as a lot of people) but this just destroys it. I like drumstep so it's not the style i disapprove of, it just does nothing well for me. Nothing against Modulate cos i love his D&B stuff almost as much as my kids.

Dog shit pizza indeed

This is horrible, some cross genres work and some don't, this is even worse than that! Its pointless and really bad, its like some 12 year old has had a go on his computer mixing a random track hes found. I really am annoyed with it.

I really like it, hands down Modulate is a top quality producer. Darren Styles would'nt be letting someone remix a track like this if he did'nt think they could pull it off.
I know some people don't like Modulates sound because it's different to what they know and like. Which is a shame, because I always thought people in the rave scene are more open minded to unusual music.

I saw this video in my sub box when it came out and I didn't bother having a listen because I figured it would sound like shit. I wasn't really a fan of the original, sounded pretty boring and there was nothing special about it imo. Just listened to it and my thoughts were confirmed it sounded like shit, I wasn't sure what it was to be honest. Of the tunes modulate produced that I've listened to I never really liked them so ya.

Alright, so you like Modulate, you like drumstep, so whats wrong with this piece then? Can you name something in paticular? (E.g. drop not hard, arps are shitty, vocals are off key)

Its fine you dislike it, but for christs sake at least say why :-P

hehe I agree with you on this one DYS7. I guess they don't like the dubstep influence lol. But to say it is badly produced is totally wrong. As far as the production goes, it's very well mastered, layered and put together:)

I like it, I don't think the lyrics fit at all though, would be nice to hear a re-release exactly the same but without the lyrics..maybe using the guitar as a replacement

save me is a great track, but the lyrics don't really suit this style.
like dropping a emo screemer on top of a jazz track

Can't remember saying it wasn't well produced. And the tired old 'oh you don't like the dubstep influence' argument doesn't apply either because despite it being a remix of Save me this has nothing whatsoever to do with hardcore.

The vocal sounds out of place for this style of music.
The production might be fine but everything about it sounds weak.
If i read a book called how to make Drumstep - a beginners guide, that's probably end up with.
Music needs to make an impact on me to enjoy it, this didn't.

That do?

Not my cup of tea either - but the production side is top class.
