It started with Wall Street, now it's spread all over the place, even in my state of South Carolina. Was at home over the weekend and passed by the capital on the way out, there were like 30 people there. Doing what though? I don't understand what they want because they won't come out and say it. Do they even know what they want?
Anyone else care to comment, for or against, funny or serious. doesn't matter, let's just have a lulz.

It's mostly about how large corporations are really the ones who run the country because of their influence on politicians. Also how the wall street is seen as so godly and precious that it has to be protected, and to me I don't understand the need for stock all I consider it is a sophisticated form of gambling.
Large banks are a huge target, as Nov. 5 is considered bank transfer day. That's where you go and close your bank account from a large company (in the US Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, etc) and move it to a local bank and/or credit union. This is due in large part to the fee they'll charge for using your card as a debit at certain locations.

the world is run by the top 1% richest, the "poor" are trying to make their voices heard, trying to have a say in how things are run.
i was walking around downtown nanaimo where i live with my bro drinking a coffee and somehow managed to end up being a part of the march around here. they just so happened to be walking in the same direction as us at the same time we were walking. joined in for a while since i had nothing else to do.
i think it's about the "powerless" being fed up with being just that, since we're the ones that are working so hard to make grease the wheel of economy that essentially making this world turn. and other people are making decisions with the money generated by our collective hard work.
and why the **** should they be the ones with the voice and not us?

Whatever their reasons are, they're likely to achieve precisely shit all. Mixture of professional protesters who'll turn up at anything, rich kids (who got where they are because of the system they're 'against', and others who think it's cool. I can't take it seriously because i doubt most of them are.
There was a protest about banks, big business etc in my town a few weeks back. Quite a fair sized (and voiciferous) crowd at 10am - an hour later there were 4 people. Radical eh?!

They probably all sprinted back home to watch This Morning, after being told Holly Willoughby had one of her famous cleavage revealing tops on.
(I'm gonna be doing this thing quite a lot until we get out TV MILFs thread sorted. She has recently had a child I believe, so she is a genuine MILF and would therefore feature in this yet-to-tangibly-exist thread)
And my personal favourite:

Holly Willoughbooby is amazing! Is there meant to be an age limit on when you become a MILF, cos otherwise it's just any woman with kids!
And Jay, that is a stunningly tenuous link! Bravo sir!

it all started because accupying wall street is fundamentally not going to do anything because they are being controlled by the trilateral commision, bilderberg group, kissinger family (basically half the government that are only in government because they own the federal bank or SERIOUS amounts of money) and theyre the ones that control the state, obama is just a puppet
So the people rallying against them, elex jones, david ike and all them people are setting up protests outside the federal banks and buildings they own, if you live in america i highly suggest you look into what they're doing as the country is going to keep getting raped by the people who own it if people keep accepting the crap they dish out.

Well, non-violent protests never lead to anything expect people lighting themselves on fire, well I guess that could be seen as violent since you'd be committing suicide. Jokes aside, if they are against the 1%, then why do they continue to support the companies that the 1% own? I'm sure most of the them have an iPhone or Droid (though mostly iPhones cause they want to be seen as "hipsters"). iPhone is made my Apple, who's executives and former CEO, Jobs, make millions a year. Droid is owned by Google, and I'm sure Schmidt makes millions as well. And how did they create this movement? Twitter and Facebook. They buy gas for their cars and the generators . . . BP, Exxon, Texaco, ect . . . Honda generators . . . GE light bulbs . . . the list continues.
If it truly were a protest against the 1% then they would strip and wear something like a toga, they would grow their own food, make their own electricity, ect, ect . . .
I'm not trying to sound like a jackass or be cynical. And I do agree with ya DMS, I doubt they really know what exactly is going on, lol.

It's funny here in Australia of all the places. The one country in the world where the Socialist Alliance have absolutely no right to be protesting.
This has probably been one of the most read blog posts of the week over here.

Nell McAndrew is now classed as an elite runner, having completed several marathons in the fabled sub 3h15m time. Superb work, from a superb MILF.
And yes, she is a MILF for any doubters:

It's a pretty sensible approach, don't you reckon?
