dude save it.

As much as you think 800/month is a lot, remember you need to spend some of that on medical bills, medication, food etc. 800/month is nothing, i earn that per week at the moment actually having a job.

medical bills, my mom has insurance & 99% is covered
medication-again insurance, but it'll cost like $100 a month but my mom will pay half
food, eating out once a week will cost like $40-$60 a month.

When I was 15 I got into debt to my folks. Got fined for something or other and within the next year it was up to $1400 for bending the axle of our car.

You would do well to take his advice, it's amazing how quick it goes when it's there doing nothing. The year before I turned 20 I earned over 65k. At the end of 12 months I had 2 large left to show for it. I never could work out where it all disappeared to, by my count I could never work it out to less than 5000 short.

lol, I know why you'd think that, but I'm actually enjoying being home. If I had 5k though, it would be awesome to go have a few mental more months in Saigon. That place is fcuking insane. Love it.

What I'd seriously consider doing with the money though:

1) Use some of it to put on an awesome rave.
2) Save it. All of it. Add it to my existing savings, with the long-term financial objective being putting a sizable deposit down for a mortgage.
3) By an awesome set-up, as has been suggested.
4) Build a sick entertainment super-shed at the back of my garden where I can get drunk, watch Sky Sports and have sex with middle-aged prostitutes.

Bloody hell Jay, if you can make 8k go that far I doubt you'll have any problems with a mortgage.
