Like others i've recently found myself liking some tunes, like that one Triquatra made a topic about earlier. Though if i search from e.g. youtube videos from the genre, i mostly find shite. Dubstep have recently gotten into pop tunes too, so i suppose it is getting more mainstream.

Yes like Whispering said, it's basically pop music (same as any genre that becomes mainstream). And whispering, it became mainstream a long long time ago! It's the only reason the average listener knows anything about it. Ask the same people if they like proper Dubstep like i linked and they will say no, lol.

If Jon or Tom would hook me up with the vocals to 'See you on the other side', I would totally try remixing it, but maybe not, in fear of ruining it, as it's massif as is.

When it comes to any genre of music, you have to filter out the crap to get to the good stuff, not every mainstream song in hardcore is great, it all depends on your taste.

More of a melodic person myself actually, however I did used to like it before it went mainstream and the likes of Skrillex started popping up...

Dislike most of it, but like any other genre there's bound to be a few songs I like. Overall, though, I dislike the sound of it, and only found one video of it enjoyable. And that was because it only had parts and not the entire songs.
And I'll admit I like this song, only because it doesn't have complete nonsense beats.
The reason I don't like the genre too much because it started out in the route of what Hardstyle is now. Everything sounding the same.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f90E84rOzmc - Also one of the more melodic Dubstep tunes (that's also not just a commercial tune that sounds exactly the same as every other tune), which is why i like it. I shouldn't really like it style wise but i do because of the music.
