Any of you Hardcore Hedz into your Old Skool Hip Hop? I don't mean Gangsta Rap so much (which I am a fan of) but like the good ole days of Hip Hop.
Have a listen & you'll see what I mean & if anyone knows of some proper old Hip Hop gems plzzzzz get em posted !
Here's a few of my favorites.....
These guys are pioneers alright & you might be familiar with Cool Keith's rhymes in The Prodigy's 'Diesel Power'. Also listen out for some classic Prodigy Samples.
Eric B & Rakim are serious legends of the old Hip Hop scene. The stuff these 2 were pushin was waaay ahead of its time. See if you agree....
Have to give these legends a mention, The Guru & DJ Premier (Gangstarr) They played a huge part in the early hip hop scene & it was very sad news to hear that The Guru had passed away this year. RIP
Can't forget this man! My favorite Rapper from when I first got into Hip Hop up until now. This man doesn't get enough respect in the UK IMO.
& some proper oldies to end on.....

u know it Fingaz ; ) apart from Pac he's gotta be the most talented rapper in the word. Can listen to his albums over & over & still hear rhymes u ain't picked up on. Such a clever Rapper.
I bought tickets to see him in Glasgow a few years back & the wanker pulled out! If he wasn't so damn good i'd hate him lol

what a tune this is : ) Lovebug Starski is an absolute legend. Great vid for footage of Queens, NY back in the mid 80's.
The amount of defining music that came out of NY around this time was crazy & played a huge part in what we all listen to today. House & Hip Hop went hand in hand back then.

now were talking Meathead. Keep ya head up is such a powerful tune like so many of Pac's.
Nice tunes Hutchy, can't forget the B.I.G! & Ice Cube done so much back in the day with writting all the NWA lyrics aswell as producing his own stuff aswell.
OK. We all knew it was gonna come back to the master of Rap that is 2Pac so here's a few more. My favorite 2Pac Album has gotta be 'Me Against The World'. 'Thug Life' is up there too. Keep em coming ppl! This is a proper trip down memory lane....
