will have a listen tomorrow - all i can say though is that all my nephews and nieces are banging on about Dubstep and DnB at the moment
i had my 13 year old neice ask me if i like DnB and Dubstep a few days ago...as if DnB was a new genre that just emerged last week and now all the school kiddies are into it because its "cool"
that would be the same 14 year old niece that posted her facebook status as "OMG I LOVE GAGA, CNT WAIT 2 C HER LIVE!"

So every time somebody uses a half speed beat in a breakdown we're putting "dub" in it and calling it a new genre?
That's so lame.

Worst thing I've ever heard. Dubstep isn't really new, it's just recently gained mainstream popularity that's all.

No, but this song is clearly copying Dubstep, it's more than just the timing. Seriously though, absolutely awful tune, that cannot be said enough.

Dubstep is dubstep. There will be plenty of dub influences in all types of dance music but that doesn't mean stick a dub in it.
Oh yeah, this is absolutely terrible.

I won't have a listen right now cause i've got Flogging Molly on lol.
But im not a dubstep fan, some of it can be ok if its very grmiey but tbh i just fiind it a bit boring. Iv always classed it as Ket heads music cause you need to be that off your box for all the bleeps and glitches and stuff to sound good lol.
Don't get me wrong there is SOME good dubstep out there i just think its hard to find...
And yea it is the next big cool thing, one of my mates daughters said all her mates are getting into it while they shove M-cat up their noses thinking they're "Ardcore"...So im showing her some decent underground Core and teaching her to stomp to show them what real ravers can do :P

Actually, song is 150 bpm like pretty much all hardstyle out there, so I don't get what you mean by "slow".
Dubstep is nearly all 140 bpm, which is not a lot slower...
I actually find this tune is pretty cool :) I don't think dubstyle has a lot of potential to become a popular genre (but who knows!); however just like breakbeat hardcore tracks are nice to start a hardcore dj set, these tunes have this breakbeat sound which can be amazing for a set intro.

It already is mate. Hugely popular in the UK these days. There is some great dubstep about but in general it's not energetic enough for me to dance to for extended periods at a party... Don't mind the odd track dropped in with Breaks sets though.
As for the track... Didn't float my boat personally. Breakdown was OK where all the drums stopped and the pads come in but that's about it.
Pretty sure the guy isn't saying this is a new genre called Dubstyle. Just calling this mix of the tune his Dubstyle mix.

for one he's sayin he dusnt think dubstyle will take off not dubstep... And dubstyle is a new genre emerging out of holland. These 2 tunes were featured on kutskis show last week and was say all new hardstyle tunes coming out in holland have a dubstyle remix on the flip... He also stated its a new genre
