Yeah, the contrast was, Scott Brown made GOOD music.. It was creative, fun and happy. Not only that, he made a manor of other styles to mix them with :)

Bonkers 13 FTW!!

I did =P about scott brown not weaver

If you love Darren Styles then you will LOVE DJ S3RL, playing at FREEFORMATION at Area in London on December 12th.

Also the likes of Organ Donors and Diablo Traxx are there for those who love the harder edge ;)

Free Mix Downloads:

Organ Donors - http://www.dontstayin.com/article-11705 http://www.youtube.com/organdonors

Headlining the Harddance zone at Freeformation are the awesome organ Donors. The Organ Donors reign as kings of the hard scene and continue to set standards both in the studio with their cutting edge productions and on the world stage with their pioneering Audio Surgery Live shows, this year had seen the boys release their 3 artist album to critical acclaim, a monumental remix album "Under the Knife" which seen the boys remixed by 30 of todays most current and respected artists inc Scot Project, Zany, Mark Sherry, Will Atkinson to name a few. They also globe-trotted their unique sound to sell out tours in Auz, Ibiza, Norway, Sweden, Arizona, Germany, Malaysia and of course kept the torch lit on the UK scene week in week out.
2009 also saw the industry legends launch their new custom built Recording Studio & DJ Skool 'The Audio Surgery', a cutting edge Dj & production facility run by a selection of pro Tutors, DjÕs & Engineers. The Organ Donors are allocating time from their crazy schedule for coaching & studio hire, to help drive new faces into the business and stimulate the scenes new talent pool! The Surgery studio's opened to coincide with the launch of their new record label Audio Surgery Records which has already taken the scene by storm with both the first releases topping the hard dance chart at No:1 for a combined and uncommon 3 weeks!
Freeformation canÕt wait to house the organ Donors Ð they are true legends at performing live with more tricks and special FX to throw at you then any other harddance act. This will be one booming set to remember. As a preview to the madness, the boyÕs have offered the mix of the week for DSI which you can get right here

S3RL - http://www.nuenergycollective.com/index.php?option=com_mixes&task=item&id=242&Itemid=105

Australian bred S3rl Ð pronounced ÔSerlÕ for those not in the know has literally shaken the current worldwide hardcore scene to the bone with his stand out productions.
Back in 2006, his track ÔTransformerzÕ caught the ear of Kevin Energy at the NEC. This was to be the start of an exciting production and DJ career which is built solely on the foundations of pure musical skill and talent!

S3Rl Ð real name Jole quickly followed up his release for the NEC on Relentless Vinyl with a solo EP featuring the tracks ÔWeekendÕ and ÔInto Overdrive, but his biggest and most famous track has to be the totally catchy and awesome ÔPretty Rave Girl.Õ It was in this track that Jole really sealed his stand out style for catchy vocals and large riffs. ÔPretty
rave GirlÕ has been the single most requested track on the NECÕs labels and gained tens of thousands of plays on Jole MySpace page!

S3Rl is multi talented with his productions. Not only does he seal his own unique style with vocal and triplet edged tracks, he is also firing up some seriously hot, hard and underground edged tracks gaining huge support from a wide range of DJÕs like Sharkey, Marc Smith, Kevin Energy and more. His recent production T T Techno is quickly becoming a high point in any rave night itÕs played at!

As a DJ S3RL, is highly motivated and skilled. Always on a level with the crowd and willing to entertain, he fires tracks at you quickly and with precise skill. Due to the obvious long distance from the UK to Australia, S3RL has previously never DJÕd in the UK until now. Be sure to catch him at Freeformation where he will tear the place apart. As a special insight to his productions, you can download his new mix right here!

Diablo Traxx - http://www.nuenergycollective.com/index.php?option=com_mixes&task=item&id=241&Itemid=105

Diablo Traxx Ð A name that any hardened hard dance fan would have heard being talked about; A name that all modern producers have a respect for and one that is causing some serious damage on the dancefloors of many events in London, and up and down the country.
Made up of a collective of DJÕs Ð rather like the NEC, the Diablo Traxx Boys and Girls have been injecting some fresh edged harddance into the scene at a time when people were looking for something fresh Ð good timing hey!

A string of quality releases on their record labels has revived a new sense of faith into DJÕs around the globe but more notably the live PA performance of the Diablo Traxx live PA have offered a glimpse of whatÕs to comeÉ.. the answer Ð some seriously cool new harddance music! Well produced original concepts and sounds put together with thought and precision! Artists like Above and Rob O.T.T have contributed largely to the success alongside a string of other fresh acts which combine perfectly to create the bigger picture.

More recently Kevin Energy wrote alongside the Diablo boys to create a monster called ÔAcid HouseÕ which was immediately snapped up for the Tidy Christmas album mix by Anne Savage!

Freeformation are proud to host a Dj set from ÔAboveÕ - a member of this talented group of artists. The Diablo Traxx crew will rock Freeformation on December the 12th and as a special treat for you, we are offering a special DJ Mix right here!

Spread the word - enjoy the music!!

Clips are up on Juno...

After hearing them, the bad out weighs the good, so unless someone buys this for me as a gift, I do not plan on getting it.

Yes Hixxy!

The samples for Styles and Breeze did not impress me much, but there are still some songs that sound more interesting that others, like Re-Con - Fuel To Fire or Breeze & Unique - Reach Out.

The Hixxy disc, on the other hand, sounds Fu*king amazing! The man seem to have chosen some killer tracks this time around, and the few tracks of his are very promising. I was not a huge fan of Hixxy before, although I 've been a Raver Baby follower for a while, but he is growing on me really fast these days.

While the Styles and Breeze discs seem to be at an expectable speed of 173 bpm, the Hixxy disc appeared to be abnormally fast to me, and I verified... 180 BPM!! What the hell? =P I'm certainly not complaining!

didn't enjoy many on CD 1... some sounded ok... Re-cons kids was an insult to my ear's though... Models are ugly was... ugly in itself...
Move it sounds quite fun. That odd take on the IBM theme bit is growing on me. Also, it sounds like they are doing better mixing this time! Some of those clips featured longer mixing rather than the 5 second drum roll and crash = new song...

Ringmaster was another pooing on my ears... Unknowns Use Somebody was quite good.. Hardcore Orcestra was average, yet one of the better tunes on the album.. D&G dominated the technical side of things... Heartbeatz sounded very unsual to find on the CD, enjoyed it tbh.

So mnay songs seemed to have promise, but failed to impress. Digital lover should have some sort of synthesized voice, simply to make it different to the rest...

Wrote this as i listened... I will buy it, but i wont spend any more than £4 on it at the local Chash Generator.

Hixxy's IS the best out of the bunch. 173 bpm is too slow for me, but if the tracks were strong enough, I would get it.

Generally 173 is too slow for me too, but I think it's more about the music. Cube::Hard's tracks are 167/8 bpm and they're still amazing at that speed. Also hardscape which is 165bpm or so, CD4 on HU4 starts at 170 but is still superb... I could go on, but I won't :p And I like house, which is 120-135 (give or take), too.

The remix of John O'Callaghan sounds interesting, doubt it can compare to the original or Cosmic Gate remix though. Liking the sound of Anybody Else But You. Still loving Missing You. That Passenger remix is shocking. Ooh i like Electric 2010. Just when i'm starting to get into it Stairway To Heaven comes along. I was interested to hear how badly Recon would ruin Kids, yeah he just as bad as i expected. Move It, not keen on it but i liked that little snippet from the advert and it's good to hear Sy & Unknown do something different. Only Your Love remix was a bit tash.

I want to punch Wizzkid in the face for that intro. Same for Recon for the Use Somebody remix, it's not as bad as the dance version they did but it's the fact they ruined KOL. Sonic 2010 sounds pretty cool. Haha is that MasterBlaster tune a High School Musical remix? I actually quite liked the Kaskade & Deadmau5 remix. Wow Boing is such a shit tune. What has Recon sampled in Torn Apart? Sure that stuttering synth bit, before the vocals comes in, is from a House tune. lol at the attempt at D&B on Heartbeatz.

Quite liked the Clubland Mix of Surrender. Ah i miss the days of Storm & Euphony, Turn Around 2009/10 sounds good. Boom Da De sounds good from the little clip of the breakdown no doubt it'll turn out to be awful though. Not keen on the Recon mix of Digital Lover, but at least he put that ****ing clap/snare back where it's supposed to be. That's the only thing i didn't like about the original that bloody snare panned so far to the left. Walking Time Bomb could be good, need longer clips. H.A.R.D.C.O.R.E. sounds atrocious. Liking the sound of Re-Loaded.

Tbh this is one of the better editions in the CLXH series, but it's still far too inconsistent in terms of track quality. Dunno if i'll be buying it yet, if i do it certainly won't be at full price, but i'm considering it which is quite shocking.

EDIT

The track Recon sampled in Torn Apart is MSTRKRFT Ft John Legend - Heartbreaker (Laidback Luke Remix). Proper bugging me that was

just listened to the clips

cd definatly isnt for me, i really like the original of "do you feel the same" dont like this version though.

cd2..i would like to hear more of the sonic remix..not enough there to give an opinion
getting really tired of the whole sidechaining thing..christ they over did it in trance, and now in hardcore..
the last track certainly sounds interesting..

cd3
... amusing title for the 10in01 cover/rip
Boom Da Dee sounds like its going to be really good, gorgeous synths there..very chilled...we shall see

but i wont be buying it for what is a coin toss on whether 2 tracks i havnet heard enough of are any good or not.
