may be a silly suggestion but have you tried putting the card in a different slot

Yep, still going on.

I've honestly tried every PCI slot on my board. And I doubt it would fit into a PCI-E slot.

It's been disabled since I got the card. I even double checked after you posted that and yes, it's disabled.

JA at the M-Audio forums has literally exhausted every method of support he has available. It also seems that my dad does not know of where he/I could borrow a similar card to try out. I didn't want it to come to this, but I'm returning the card for a refund.

If anyone here knows of a non M-Audio card that's close in price range and has similar features, let me know please.

the card itself may be faulty, try returning it for another first b4 you make your mind up.
i used an m-audio 24/96 & have never had problems
