Your right, Electro House is awfull, a long with most of House these days. Back in 1999-2000 there was alot of real quality House. The same can be said for Trance though, it's all sounds the same now. 1998-2001 were the best years for Trance and always will be, ****ing amazing music.
Some of the best trance around is in this thread. Trance now is better than a decade ago, same said for hardcore
Trance has been ****ing terrible since 2001. It's even worse now than ever, every tune sounds the same lol, way over commercialised. Exactly the same is true for Hardcore.

trance is in an amazing place now..how can you say it isnt..you clearly arent listing and hearing the amazing tracks coming from artists like sean tyas,simon patterson,jochen miller,m6,gareth emery,leon bolier,rank 1 to name but a few...to be honest you are talking out your arse if you say trance is shite
