its upto you as i say but you'v got more of a chance if you sell em individually cuz that many records doesnt come cheap.
well thanks for the advice - i suppose if i'm still sitting on 'em in a month i'll start to consider that.
i'm thinking of this just coming down through sifting through all of them which was a pain in the ass.

Keep them bud! You never know when you'll feel the urge to dig back through em then sell them further down the line & you'll be getting even more!

the only way you'll get anything near 1000$ is by selling them individually
...and ideally, on discogs so you get your money's worth
it'll be ALOT of hassle but it'll probably be worth it
There's about 500 records here I'd like to sell but I've never bothered because it's so much work.

he definitely won't get more down the line
the price of vinyl is dropping like a stone
pretty much everyone is going digital
I still have thousands of records but I'm pretty much the only DJ at raves that still plays some vinyl.

I guess Brisk, Hixxy, Luna-C, etc. aren't real DJs
I used to think the same way you do, but just over the last three years raves here have gone from "should I expect CD players?" to "any chance you could have turntables for me?"
That says it all.

honestly you'll change... i was hardcore vinyl-only for years... it's just not worth it anymore. i mean when you have DJs like sasha saying that beatmatching is an unnecessary skill at this point and playing in ableton and pretty much every DJ playing on CDJs it's just clear they're coming to an end. Even the DJs who do play on decks generally use SSL/Traktor/Torq and keep all their music digital.
really vinyl only holds value for collectors right now.

well iv been buying vinyl for ten years now & i love the collecting aspect of it more then anything. i mean anyone can download a tune (both legally & illegally) but finding a copy of a tune on 12" can sometimes be a challenge (depending on what it is of course) but hay thats part of the fun of it. iv spent too much time, money & effort to give up on collecting vinyl. anyways each to their own i say, its just that cds aint for me.
