I'm reluctantly going to sell a huge collection of hardcore vinyl with a lot of personal value to me as I really don't play it anymore. There's 143 records in it, most of them absolute classics that would be brilliant to start anyone off in collecting hardcore, or good to pad a collection that started after 2004. It's got classics like eyeopener, evolution picture disks, and a hixxy dubplate among tons of other stuff. It spans about 1996-2004 with freeform, cheese and upfront well represented.
Help me value it out or come up with a good starting bid? I'm aware this is somewhat advertising but I haven't been in hardcore in forever and would like help valuing it - I'll also take offers at this time but I'm looking for serious ones. I really don't want to part with this for too little money due to the huge investment, the massive size and the relative quality of the collection, plus the personal attachment.
Here are the records I will be selling (as one lot):
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pPABX-bQG1HiHVkrlKJclOQ They're in good condition, most have been treated with gruv glide. A couple skip on one side on occasion - any problems have been noted in the spreadsheet. The sleeves are honestly a total mess, but that's to be expected. These traveled around north america and did a lot of damage to dance floors on their way. The records, however, are in fantastic condition. So you understand I'm legit: http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/6530/recordsjf1.jpg Thanks for your help in advance. Any purchase inquiries can be made over aim (protocollie is my sn) or through e-mail ([email protected]) - otherwise I will be placing them on ebay once I get some sound advice - I won't be checking my PMs here but I will come back to this thread frequently.

not being funny mate but no one is gonna pay that much for em. as i said have a look at the links that i gave you. also vinyl isnt selling as well as it was a couple of years ago nor for as much, which is good for buying but not selling. my advice sit on them for awhile until the market picks up abit.

totally valid - i was going under the assumption of what i paid for 'em versus the fact that a lot of 'em were hard to find (at the time, at least) or by my last checking. the whole reason i'm losing 'em is i don't play hardcore and never use turntables anymore anyway so they don't serve me much purpose at all.
i'm actually of the mindset that their value will just continue to drop, honestly. old hardcore i don't think is suddenly going to experience a revival in the near future. :)

its not just hardcore tho its many different styles, plus the credit crunch hasnt helped as people are now wanting to pay even less for things then before. although some tunes like DJ Vibes / DJ Faber - Ravers Choice 6 still go for about £50 however it used to go for £100 a few years ago. i personally think that the market will pick up again, so as i said if i was you id watch the market (ie eBay) & sell em when the time is right :o)

eh - i really don't have the patience to mail out individual records. i hate to be all sleaze about it but i'm sure eventually i'll find some rich suburban kid desperate to play 'old skool' who'll snap 'em up right quick... even if it takes a while.

its upto you as i say but you'v got more of a chance if you sell em individually cuz that many records doesnt come cheap.
