Hard dnb in a raves brilliant, mixing back and forth between it and hardcore techno jus works, listen any producer set recently and see what i mean.

Not for everyone but is a lot of talent and variation, parties go wild as f*ck and i love it

I love Spor's stuff, especially 103 Degrees. Tune is a ****ing belter!

Haha Drum & Bass is Hardcore!

I'm loving anything that mixes the 'ruff' of D&B with the uplifting of 'hardcore'. To be honest a set of just 'bounce' or just straight D&B would bore me to tears. All about mixing up the breaks, kicks & 2-step beats!

too much is a bit dry, mixed in with hardcore it is decent.

i'm with a lot of people here. couldn't listen to a full night of it, but a hardcore set with a bit of dnb thrown in for good measure can be good, or maybe a set of it during the course of a night.

it's a bit dry for me though as a genre, like it's missing something. like a melody / tune

I've no wish to listen to drum & bass at the minute as it was the whole reason for years that i used to go to events back in '93 right upto 1999. But having cained my ears to the tunes i basically got bored of it and got back into the hardcore again. Always loved hardcore but never paid as much attention to it as the D & B at that time.

But now Hardcore all the way.

Drum & Bass at the minute is shite IMO

Chavs??!?!?!?! no mate. Drum n Bass isnt the general chav music.
Drum n bass is more for the renegades on the ninties. it has gone way downhill since a while back...

Drum'n'bass? I find most of it utterly boring. A track or two in between hardcore can work extremely well though, and I love a good dnb-like breakdown in hardcore tracks (aka Ultravibes - Dancin').

I like some bits and pieces. Jump-up is crap these days.

Jungle and Breakcore are much better than DnB. 8-)

Jump up i dont pay much attention to tbh, anno hazards one of main producers i jus hate the sound in general. Listen to sets like andy c, hype etc there be more of that sorta stuff.

Chase and status have some pretty cool stuff dunno what would count as, jus normal dnb really not particularly hard and techy or wobbly like jump up. But yeah some is really good.

Anyway yeah went ace hard dnb party last night - evol intent, spor, ewun, chris renegade, apex all absolute class and free to get in. Atmosphere was brilliant really packed dancefloor goin nuts.

Set of the night definietly Evol intent played allsorts of stuff from his own style, bit of hardcore, ultra happy bouncy stuff, pianos, epic remix of bjork tune all in an hour. Definitely a dj would wanna see more of over here.

I used to live and breathe DNB. some of the best shit ive heard has been off the "LIFTED" music crew. Also a big fan of KLUTE (on the liquid side of things). and everything in between lol.

my musical timeline: Happy Hardcore------>Trance------>House----------->Drum N Bass----------->E-Clash. etc etc
