Allot of people I know keep telling me that I should also "check out" drum 'n bass, but I personally think it's crap because it just doesn't give me the whole bounce feeling that I get when I listen to hardcore. So I was wondering am I the weird guy here or do some of you guys share the same opinion?

I think its boring as hell! Some of the breaks sound cool but its nothing compared to hardcore.....There is a few tracks i like though mainly from 1 tape ( the bit of dj hype at the end of the force & styles strings of life '97 )

Some of it is interesting but it's mostly BS if you ask me. Every song is some weird breakbeat that is distracting as hell, let alone can't be danced to. And I hate the bass. It's like random notes are being played. Drum n' Bass is well.... just drum n' bass, nothing else. I hate it.

I like a bit of DnB if it's just like chucked into a hardcore set, but i couldn't bear listening to a full set of DnB. A lot of it's just too bland and too repetitive for me, but it breaks up a hardcore set quite nicely. I'd say you probably should check it out 'cos there are a few good tunes out there, but there aren't many that give me the same feeling as hardcore does, but some still gets me bouncing round my room like a tosser in the same way lol.
Have a listen to these, a couple of tunes i've been playing recently;
DJ Fresh - Exhale (Inhale Remix)

i cant get into dnb either. it does work well in a hardcore set as long as its 2 tracks, anymore than that and it just grates as its repetitive as hell.
the 2 drum n bass mixes on clubland xtreme core 4 are not too bad and work well in the mixes..

love it...have been buying more of it due to less & less hardcore labels producing stuff I'd play. prefer a nice mixture of it...quiet a few djs around here prefer to just play darker dnb which isn't very fun to dance to a whole set of =P

Dnb is ****in class like hardcore it has its shit, uk gaycore ala jump up
get on the rest is immense calyk, teebee, spor, evol intent, spurge, noisia, limewax, raiden, current value + many more of the lesser known names
Hard dnb in a raves brilliant, mixing back and forth between it and hardcore techno jus works, listen any producer set recently and see what i mean.
Not for everyone but is a lot of talent and variation, parties go wild as f*ck and i love it

I think it is alright, I listened to a CD with some of it once & it was nice for a change but I would rather the older stuff than the newer stuff imo
I like really chopped up Jungle breaks from the 1994 era!
