90's hardcore is weird for me. There are songs that I downright love, like the Burning Love remix on Best Of Bonkers, or DJ Stompy's This Is The Night (must have played that vinyl over 500 times), or this tune, but most of the stuff I downright hate and can't find a single redeemable quality to. I think I just like a very specific type of 90's hardcore (which, not knowing 90's hardcore, I have no idea what sub-genre of it is the one I like), and anything outside of that comfort zone I can't enjoy. I wish people actually labeled all the sub-genres in the 90's like they do now. It's really simple to find what kind of hardcore you're looking for when there's Freeform, Upfront, Breakbeat, Electrocore etc. Back then all there was was happy hardcore, and I basically have to sit on youtube for hours before I find a 90's track I want to buy.
If you could help point me in the right direction then that'd be really helpful.

My mixes? Well they are on my PC but for some reason I can't upload so Soundcloud so until I get the time I have nothing new to download.
Also my tunes have 'evolved' alot from a few years ago. Production is not something one can master over night and sadly these days, I just don't have the time as I have other commitments.
btw do you have any mixes or tunes worth downloading or are you just the same as the next person, following the sheep & afraid of trying something new?

It's not surprising that 95WTT was a terrible producer, since he was a complete asshole everytime I saw him post. Even if Smoogie doesn't enjoy a lot of newer hardcore at least he's repsectfull about it. 95WTT was just a broken record repeating over and over again that anything past 1998 is complete garbage and a blasphemy to the hardcore name.

Smoogie check out Stormski and Bobski, they're making old early 90s prodigy-esque hardcore but in 2012, they're really pushing to get that sound back so they might be worth keeping an eye out for:

I will give that a listen. In recent times there has been an exploson in retro Hardcore. It might not be the 90s but it is as close as you can get. Talk to Mortis and his site, he will tell you the 90s aint dead yet, it is stronger than it has been for years!

I don't mix (yet) and I don't produce. And in no way am I a sheep while I may like some of the stuff that RB, EP & other labels like it are pushing out, in no way am I a fan boy of those labels. I prefer more NextGen or HU style hardcore, as well as hardcore with breaks. And if anyone is afraid of trying something new, it would be you.
Also, it wouldn't really be "new" if your tunes would just mimic what's already been done over a decade ago. When you're ready I'll give it an honest listen. But you've been at it for I bet 3 years now, and it took you a whole year to release whatever crap you had on your signature status.

No Samination! Things are changing these days...
I have noticed some things during the last months that reminds me about my childhood in the 90s: politics, events of the day, music, fashion, etc.
There is a realistic chance that we'll face a revival of the 90s during the next few years - and usually I am a pessimistic person.
