When did u hear that track? cos i've got something like that on tape that Stu allan played about 92ish and shes just laying into him to a dark beat! (but i wouldn't class it as a dark track!)

There is a dude that can seriously craft an atmosphere of complete horror. That song can make terror shit itself and run away crying.
My choice has been revised to Hamburger Lady by Throbbing Gristle. Dark ambient/industrial + lyrics about a woman with horrible burns covering her body after a car accident = the darkest track ever.

Well if we're talking about setting a mood, I think Rudy (Wumpscut:) does it quite well in "Churist Churist", he has made the words up but they sound very dark, possibly religious. it sounds very atmospheric and the samples from "The War Game" movie add to it perfectly.

yeah it was way ahead of its time, played it the other week and she keeps yelling "pick up the phone"
anyway Gordon Tennant - Sunday eyes is a f**king dark tune! and also my favourite track of all time! when I heard it in 95 it was a total antidote to all things happy!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPY5TxTdElM Joy Division "The eternal" basically Ian Curtis suicide note in musical form, the instrumantation is unreal even the snare sounds sad and the piano riff says more than words ever could. I love emotional music and this sums up the feeling of absolute pain and depression. R.I.P a musical genius. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0bZtf5MCzY Nine inch nails "Hurt" kinda cliche talkin about dark songs but just a good track about being a prick and f*ckin up everything good that comes your way.
