Honest opinion.

It sounded ok until the melody kicked in, the piano sounds like a casio. The trancey melody isn't much better. I thought the bass on the bridge could have done with changing from the original bass line into somthing a bit different, just to keep it flowing. Also, I think on the lead up to the bridge you could have done alot more with the main melody.

Over all, it wasn't a very original remix, it sounded just like a midi put through a few different generators in FL. The intro and percussion where good, the rest...meh.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but you did ask for open minds.

Alrighty then... hahaha! I didn't think it was that bad. In fact you're the first to give any negative feedback on it. I would say ppl are just trying to be nice, but the ppl I have asked are well established and have given me their honest opinions in the past. They seemed to really like this one. O well... Thank you for being honest. I can take constructive critisizm well. It's my first attempt doing a house / trance track so it's a start. :) I'll post the final once my buddy finishes some edits and I finalize the eq'ing. Hopefully it'll be a better.

I wasn't saying it was completly bad, it just wasn't very original thats all. Saying that though, each to their own. Keep up the work.

i dont actually think its that bad its not goin 2 be all that original cos it is a remix, the only thing is it needs speedin up... a lot, but i guess it is supposed 2 b a house tune. other than that - pretty sound. but mortis'll know a lot more than me about all this so i'd still listen 2 him if i wer u mate.

There's not much to it, but I think people are being a bit harsh, it has a lot of good qualities too.

I enjoyed it mate. It's slow but that suits my mood at the mo (waking up hungover). But yeah, i think its a good remix of a good track. I like the synth and sounds that you've used for the melody. And there's a bass stab that reminds me of Fragma - Tocas Miracle

As far as Club music goes it's ok.

Some decent elements in there but it all sounded a bit too empty to grab me and make me sit up and listen.

A bit too 'music by numbers' for me i'm afraid.

You obviously have the ability to make a decent tune, so keep it up mate.

Wow! That's harsh. How about some constructive critisizm instead of just bashing me. I'm no pro. It's also a house mix, not core. TY for your honest opinion though... I think...

Didn't mean for it to sound harsh, and i didn't even recognise the tune, it was my 10 year old son, and he said he didn't think it was as good as the original! Sorry, but please console yourself in the fact, i haven't got a clue what i'm talking about, and i'm only one person in thousands that would probably like it!

tbh man dont really like it, but then i dont like house either. imo there are some tunes that just have to be fast, and this is one of them, it just screams to be sped up. At that speed it did sound quite empty (but imo all house sounds empty) and needs a backing melody or somehting to fill it up and make a more trance sound, which i think would suit it much better. Otherwise maybe try lowering an octave (halve the frequency)?

Personally i think that it is ver hard to convert a happyhard track into a house tune, as the melody for happy hardcore is much to high a pitch for ~140 bpm, and attempts can only range from average at best to disastrous.
