My mates a house dj and he finds mixing uk hardcore and stuff like that easy, same as me he just finds bouncy techno hard.
If it's a straight 4/4 beat with the same old structure it cant be that difficult if you no how to control turntables.

I'm really just beginning... I seem to lack to time to practise propperly
Hardcore and HHC UK ... well, it goes...
Drum & bass I find difficult, but I don't know all the 500 record
Terror, speedcore, indurstial hardcore I just find to fast to mix...
But, that's my opinion haha

I play all of these genres...
Dnb
Happy Hardcore
House
Trance
Garage
Jungle
Breakz
Breakbeat Hardcore
and they are all easy to mix.
No one is harder than the other
I guess its just what you have an ear for at the end of theday.
I know people who've been mixing 15years but cant mix certain genres.
I can mix anything .

You're all wrong.
Waltz-flavoured Country ballads are the hardest to mix. Something about the wailing voices, the twangy zither and the 3/4 swing beats makes it damn impossible.

has anyone here tried mixing hip hop? i dont mix it or anythin, but i have tried with some instrumentals once n it is rele hard. i think that when you 1st enter the DJin scene, any genre is hard to mix. i started learning with funky german house (or something like that) but quickly moved to hardcore. i can now mix hardcore and find that dnb amonsgst other styles preety easy to mix. however, i think that from mixing a fast beat, it is harder for you to then moeve onto house etc. it can be done. i do it, but it took a few spins bsfore i got toterms with the new mixing

Na hardtrance and hardhouse all sounds the same, got no sole brother and so predictable:) You'll change your view on house as you get older. I used to hate house in my teens too but love it now. And the women at house events.. ooolala.. Ah well, least we agree on hardcore. One genre I still love.

Rap and RnB is by farrrrrrrrrr the hardest music to mix as the bpm's are all over the place... you'll have like one track at 80bpm then try and mix one in thats 120bpm then one thats 60bpm... crazy!
