A lot of bouncy techno's really hard to mix cos it's got a mad structure. Like one minute it will slow down to half speed then go supercharged to 200+bpm then back to normal.

Love it myself couldnt mix simple shit all the time, love my trance but find it boring to mix for that reason.

All about the breaks and hard stuff

house/funky house i'd imagien personally

not because of it's structure or BPM just because after i'd listen to a couple of songs i'd have burned the rest and performed a satanic ritual for nothing to be ever released again in the genre

I think everything much the same when you get used to it but I'm gonna go with oldschool hardcore breaks. Random, very different speeds, loads of half loops. I don't think as a rule that breakbeats are harder to beatmatch though.

hmmm disagree there mate theres certain music thats defo more dj friendly than others.

Trance, uk hardcore, makina etc is a piece of piss cos it's all so regular. Old school breaks like your talking abouts a lot more confusing.

Old italians the same just was more made for listening to than to be spun by dj's, lotsa half beats and stuff so if you dont no your records 100% things will catch you out.

Give somebody 6 quosh's they've never heard for example if you can mix you'll have no problems.

Yeah I guess with some music you can guess whats coming to a certain extent making it easier to just freestyle mix. Thing is you never really know whats coming with any music so to be a good dj you have to know your records, there for... if you know your records it won't be any harder for you to mix them.

Sorry im confusing myself here with this gibberish ; ).
