i got into the rave scene when i started going out to with a raver in disguise. He never really told me the music he was into but for new yr 2001 he invited me to Love Nation a rave in sydney

When he came to pick me up he was all colourful ahaha his hair blue!
The night was amazing i got my first taste of happy hard and loved it, and also i loved the ppl i accidently spilt water on this rough looking guy and expected hell to break loose
instead he jus smiled and told me it was cool

Well, i first got into rave when i was on holiday in magolouf.
I had just woke up the night after clubs and switched some foreign mtv channel, and i rememberd this song that came on probably from the night before,(posse i need you on the floor by scooter) so i went out and baught their album. That was me into rave

Next i was on the phone to a mate who was listening to n-trance - set you free, i just had to steal it and from her and from then on i have been searching toroughout evrywhere to find more happy hardcore.

sorry guys but i have to tell my story because i reckon its nothing less than inspirational i'll try to keep it short tho:

first of all commercialising any music makes it shit anytone who knows anything beyond mainsream music knows that.

anyway until 5 months ago (oct 2001) i was into a lot of rock and punk music and i picked out a lot of bands numerous months and even years before they hit the charts (i discovered bands like korn, linkin park, deftones, sum41, even blink182 before they surfaced to the public). i thought of myself as a music guru but i was sick as hell of my music being commercialised and corrupted but as far as ANY electronica went i dissed it as shit that was made on computers and required no talent watsoever. now i like getting drunk and i hate weed, but it was this time 5 months ago when a frend of mine at a small time club handed me a small tablet (i think we all know what i'm talking about) and says 'eat'. i had wanted to try it for ages and it was unreal! i've been keeping control of it because the feeling is ****in addictive, but since then i was at godspeed3 in sydney and saw scott brown and hixxy play and they were ****in awesome.

this story gets really complex and im sure all of u have experienced it, so i'll keep it compacted. since that night 5 months ago my mind had expanded, i dont diss any music, my mind is open to any new style of music. i still like my old music, i still hate most rap, i started to shift a bit towards uk garage and 2step, and a bit of trance, but even tho i have expanded my interests i have found the best music i have ever known, happy hard and hard nrg. thank you for listening to me ramble on, i know this has meant nothing to you, but it means the world to me...

fat boy slim when asked what was the best thing he'd ever done in his life replied: 'my first roll'...

I've only been listening to Happycore for about 2 years, because like meny people my age I started mixing trance and house at about 14. I got handed an old dougal/brisk fusion tape in '99 and i've been hooked ever since :)

Trying to think back on how I started liking HHC...

It could of been at my first rave, Pretty sure of it. Bout 3-4 years ago here in NEW MEXICO, I got this flyer from a friend who was a DJ, Me being all punked out went anyway since I heard all the stuff that goes on at raves not really knowing anything about it.

I went in, Not knowing anyone, I was felling all left out and stuff, And there it was, Happy Hardcore, The beat pretty much drew me in, When the day was over, I was angree cause it was all over, I could not wait until the next week where another party was going on.

Since that day, I totaly forgot about my old music and only listen to Electronix now, Nothin else, Just recently I started spinning HHC.

I remember listening to hardcore a couple of years back in the early/mid nineties. I didn't know what it was back then, but i knew i liked it. Then for a while i couldn't get my hands on it and cause I didn't know what to look for it kinda just faded from my interest. Then in 99 my friends took me to a rave and I got back into it full throtle.

"Death to all boy bands...."
