It started as a spat between Dan, the guy who runs the USH 2.0 website, and Jay Folly, the person behind The Fat Controller (of In Complete Darkness fame), as well as Billy D Bunter.
I think it started with Dan using samples, or creating something similar to In Complete Darkness and Jay go the video pulled down from youtube and then asked Dan for his details.
Inside the USH facebook group, there was a discussion about it and people posted links to videos that show that In Complete Darkness is a track filled with samples itself.
Samples that Jay says he owns, but that is most likely just licensed to him to use.
And then Dan posted a video with Jay & Billy visiting his apartment building. And some photoshopped images with Jay & Billy on them. And then they went around saying Dan with USH started cyberbullying them.
Just a few weeks ago Billy Bunter had no hate for the photoshopped images, but it all started because they got pissy over having to spend 7 hours travelling back n forth to Dan's place

And before that, USHers has been on Billy's case for not refunding people for Unity In The Sun since last year, because it was movedcanceled from it's original date, and then "of course" the COVID19 thing happened and extended the "move" even further.

Ive been threatened by Jay Folly for remixing In Complete Darkness, it was on my soundcloud for years, then all of a sudden he messages me and tells me to take it down or face legal action.
I said the same thing, his track is a remix of Rollo Goes Camping - Get off your high horse. He said he bought the rights to that track. I kept the messages i'll find them.
I can understand someone doing an unofficial remix and releasing it and making money of it being a problem, but doing it for experience and because I loved that track hardly is an issue IMO. Check youtube for the gazillion edits of commercial tracks. Are they hunted down by the artists ?
I didn't have a problem removing it, as I said, it was an unofficial remix, and at the time I did it, I had no way of asking him, was many many years ago. So he must have been trolling through Soundcloud looking for remixes. He'd have said no anyway, and instead of offering me encouragement, just demanding it be removed shows what a c*nt he is.
As for Bunter, I stopped following him on Facebook etc, after something happened with the DJ RAP Devine Rhythm tracks were re-released, I asked him about something to do with it, and he gave me a bunch of ******** reasons for something not to happen, but it was all monetary, and for me, he came across as a c*nt too, so I stopped following. So I am not suprised to see Folly doing this again.
btw, he was wrong about when I uploaded it, it had been on there for about 5 years prior to that, and id made changes on SC and took it off to put other stuff up (I only have free version) I reuploaded it when I put the old HHC stuff I'd done on as someone asked to hear it. I'm not going to point the finger at them for tipping off Folly, but I Wouldn't be suprised, that was a "known" DJ too who i'd been speaking to.
Anyway, Fk them all tbh, as I said in the messages, i'm not a bit suprised the scene died.
I didn't know about that, and it wouldn't surprise me either. I listened to their pod cast yesterday, that they did with Slipmatt, and I enjoyed it. I hope it continues. But the hosts are known, who are they "better" known as ?

Was there ever enough money in hardcore for it to be worth being a c∪nt over it? I wouldn't know. Just an ordinary American.

Are you on the facebook group? cause they would love to see those two images.
It's clear that the only money Fat Controller seems to earn in his daily life is the royalties for his own remix. Other artists dont hunt down each remixes because they have other tracks they earn money from.
Fat Controller also says that there are over 30 LICENSED remixes of his version. Yet people have only listed about 2 of them on discogs. So he's clearly full of BS

if you want to remix it, remix the hardcore version, all fat controller has the copyright to is the melodies in the happy hardcore version, you can use the vocal for any track
