I've heard that the Fat Controller guy can be a bit of a knob about people remixing "his" track before. If people weren't aware, it's pretty much entirely ripped from another track called "Rollo Goes Camping"; all he's done is speed it up and stick a breakbeat under it. Which is fine, it's a good track! But really, why be so serious about a fun remix of a ripoff you did 25 years ago?!

He says that he bought the rights to the song though.
I doubt he bought the rights to Janet Jackson's "In complete darkness" bit though.

Well that was exactly my point. I did it for a laugh, I enjoyed making it, its a great track in whatever form you listen to it, and I put it up for people to listen to.
Soundcloud, youtube are just 2 places riddled with edits of tracks, and I like listening to ppls efforts.
Jay Folly is a bellend, plain and simple, he's got no rights to anything , he probably got permission from Roland to use the bits from the track and then as you said, sampled the voice and now thinks he's god with it. I was just starting off back then, and trying to learn the trade, words of encouragement would have been more beneficial.

Do tell.... I was on the FB group for a while but got kicked out one day for no apparent reason and when I tried to re-join in I had to answer some stupid questions and got ignored. I miss it, was quite entertaining reading about Storm & Female Fire getting roasted!
