There is no Vibes tape from DS27, to the best of my knowledge he didn't play at all.

Just as I thought. I haven't seen the flyer, so I'm not sure If he was even booked.

I'm almost certain he was booked but for some reason or other couldn't make it, I am going from memory of reading something a long time ago, mind. It'd be very unusual for him not to be booked for it, though.

I always remember around the first week in December of that year 'phoning some shops and speaking with a few DJs at the time. (Breeze, Spinback, Sarge for example) and it felt like the entire genre had just burst and people were deserting the scene like rats on a sinking ship.
Was told that Bonkers 7 would be the last one, the planned 6th Hardcore Heaven series (to be mixed by Vinylgroover and Force & Styles) was pulled. Despite being mixed and ready to go. Hearing that several producers and DJs were calling it a day. Justin Time, DNA, Seduction etc had already moved on. Force told me that they were stopping UK Dance and Styles would be going solo. Trixxy was on his way out! Dougal was stopping New Essential Platinum and VG was moving over to the Hard House genre after Skelter. Then it's the last Skelter and at that time the music had changed so dramatically that I thought that was it. Thankfully we had the resurgence but still, it was a bleak time.
Kudos to the likes of Scott Brown, Brisk & Ham, the Quosh Records boys, DJ Kaos, Robbie Long and Devastate, the Nu Energy lot for keeping the genre alive during that time.

I would?ve been 6 (and in Canada), so obviously didn?t attend, but it?s great that a few people here who went are able to have this piece of history. I wish Timmy put out ?tape? packs here for the Nocturnal Commissions events, but when you?re not even pulling in 800 people you?re almost guaranteed to lose money :/.
