I'd literally just turned 18, was with my family in a pub in Preston, sat there having a shit night, looking at my watch, guessing who was playing at what time.
I remember reading the reviews on USH the next day, and just knowing this era for hardcore was over.
I got the tape pack and still listen to the Vibes tape a lot now.

I had stopped going 2 years prior to this , Dreamscape 27 97-98. For me, when I walked into that event and saw the main arena still being setup at 8.20, with a boombox on the stage giving the only tunes. I said then , things are dying.
The DnB arena was awesome, the techno room was banging, I spent most of the night in there.
The main arena had gone all "singalong" stuff, and i'd lost interest in it. The odd good set but mostly anthem bashing.
Hardcore , the true happy hardcore, was gone, and it was morphing into UK Hardcore, not so much in technique but in atmosphere. I walked outta that rave and said i'd never go back. It was over for me, sad night really, because I'd lost all interest in the music. If it hadn't been for the techno room and old skool rooms i'd have been outta my depth in the DnB room lol

I was 15 and in the last year of Secondary School. Me and a couple of lads were going to go, but the tickets were too expensive. I got the tape pack from Flip Records early January 2000.
I've cained this Vibes set over the last 20 years. The Sy set was decent too.

I was looking for the Vibes set from Dreamscape 27, but it doesn't look like he played, or the set wasn't recorded. He played last set at Helter Skelter 'Progression' that night.

Strange, Vibes nearly always played at Dreamscape tbh. I honestly can't remember, I have the pack at home somewhere, i'll check it.
I didn't go in the main arena at all tbh that night, techno and old skool was the way for me then, as I started hating the cheese that was around then.
