Hello,
A lot of you might not know me, but I've recently taken from Proxy as Shows Manager for HappyHardcore.com Radio.
After some particular recent additions to the lineup for the radio, I'd like to offer you users and listeners a chance to submit a demo of your own.
So if you're interested in doing a show on HappyHardcore.com - send me your demos.
A few rules:
- Demo must be between 45 minutes and 60 minutes
- Demo must be in MP3 format, encoded at 320k with a sample rate of 44.1kHz
- The email you send must contain a short biography of yourself or of your DJ persona
- The email you send must contain a tracklist of your demo mix
If your submission does not meet all 4 of the above, it will not be considered!
If you need somewhere to host your demo mix, feel free to contact me for access to our Demo FTP.
Cheers,
Louth

As long as it's mostly UK Hardcore - I don't mind if you have one or two Old Skool/Breaks/Gabber/Makina tracks in there.

considering everyone's playing only (uk) hardcore, wouldnt it be better to have a show that actually plays different kind of hardcore? Is there really that enough (new or unplayed) (uk) Hardcore that 5 people can play their sets? Personally, if I wanted to appear on the radio station again, I'd rather play something unheard or rarelly played
This radio station is already way off what it originally played anyways. I think everyone can agree that today's (uk) Hardcore isn't Happy Hardcore. I guess it aint easy to just change name aswell. costs to change domain and stuff.
... but then, the odd pop tunes Cotts plays makes up for it :)

Well, like I already said in another thread, there's people coming home from work, tuning in and what they want to hear/what they expect, is what's being played on here. And that's the reason why they tune in at all. They probably wouldn't want to hear anything else, and if they did the listener count wouldn't be so high compared to other radio stations featuring Hardcore.
There's many other radio stations which feature different styles from Hardcore, but this one is based on UK/Happy Hardcore.
Now saying UK Hardcore is not Happy Hardcore would be stupid, it would just lead to the same discussion with all the genres, what's what etc etc.. everyone has his own views of what Happy Hardcore and what UK Hardcore is.
But in some words, it's hard euphoric electronic dance music at 170 BPM

You're view is yours, but don't push it on me :P
If you haven't noticed artist's that play odd tunes gets more attention.
Not saying there should be a show for just one subgenre... but 1 or 2 tracks a set isn't enough

The fact that HappyHardcore.com Radio is hosted by Digitally Imported means it will conform to genre rules in place for the other channels as hosted by DI.
We have an individual stream for each genre. If someone were to step forward and offer their time to help run a Makina channel, then there'd be a Makina channel. That's why there is a separate Gabber channel.
Like I said, one or two tracks per mix is more than adequate, anything more than that and it would go against everything DI (and HHC.com) has worked up over the last 10 years.
