not that i dont like hearing all of a track... but, if they just repeat the same stuff as the first part... what's the point of playing it all? Except to just fill time... this guys onto something =P

"Wish more people mixed like this =)"

I dont. It sounds awful that fast. Seriously Americans what is it with you people and ruining music? :p

The technique itself, do you mean the transitions being right after the 1st breakdown? That's not very out of the ordinary. I, and many others, do that quite a bit. Some of those transitions sdont sound right in that vid either, some songs should be played throughout. Another point about the mix - variety is the spice of life as they say, use it. Same old hands-in-the-air vocal track after hands-in-the-air vocal track.

well, he played all of the first track except the intro. checkout the mixes in my sig if you want actual quick mixing.

and he's playing far too fast....

I'm sure you kid, but just want to clarify that speeding up hardcore to 190 bpm is not considered normal in the USA, or anywhere else for that matter :P

That said, I hear nothing different in this mix then any other kosher mix, besides the fact that its being spun at a ridiculous 190 bpm.

190 BPM is not ridiculous, you just have to get in the mood for it..
I also play at 190 sometimes.

I know many people who say 190 is waayy to fast, well I did some mixes at ~190 and people loved it, without knowing it was at that speed.

And I do quick-mixing quite often.

So there's nothing special about that "mix" ;)

190bpm too fast? In the good old days even really mainstream HHC could be faster by default. One of my favourite tunes from Blümchen (from what i counted thats 200bpm):

Thats how it should be, 170 is boring as hell.

I mix at 180, guess it's all about personal preferences :P and quick mixing is fun! Since I don't have any effects or anything on my mixer, all I can do is adjust volume and high/low tone, so instead of just standing there playing the song out, I mix in a new tune.

Quick mixing is OK in moderation but for the whole mix especially if it's done like this it can ruin it.

Dain-Ja's quick mixing is really good he does it properly like he says. He doesn't sound rushed and it doesn't sound messy and forced like the guy in the video.

Ye was just joking, but seriously UK Hardcore at 190 sounds like shite. Gabber and a few other genres at 190 i actually like, it sounds good, its sounds like its SUPPOSED to be played that speed. UK Hardcore is supposed to be played at 170-ish - i like it faster, i play it usually at 180. But pitching a track up pressed at 170 all the way up to 190 ruins it completely.

I usually timecompress eurodance (originally 145-150) to ~170. Hardcore to 180-200 :P

In a way you're right, but non vocal stuff dusnt sound ruined at all, some tracks sound better at 180/190 most hardcore isnt even made at 170 just sped upto that
