3+ years ago dude... we run custom DSP's, our 96k sounds 160k, compare with any other 96k out there and tell me ours doesn't sound better than 128k :)

Three years ago? Wtf. Until mid-December last year Winamp was reporting it was streaming at 128kbps, and then started saying it was 96kbps. My only guess is it was some sort of weird glitch...

Bah, who needs mp3 when there's AAC? Same quality at a quarter the bitrate. If "64k" is "CD Quality," give us a 96k AAC stream and close everything else. Just imagine the savings on bandwidth! It's about time the world upgraded from mp3 format, anyway.
Though, if you really want to stream WAVs, there are some loseless codecs.... I wouldn't be surprised to see such streams in a dozen years.

We have AAC+ streams as well if you really want to listen to it. Just more thinks for better or worse only play MP3 at the moment.

personally, i did buy premium once, and i never heard a difference. well, not enough of one to warrant me paying 10$ a month for something that's free.
i have a mute button, i can use that when i hear "DIGITALLY IMPORTED. CALM" guy's voice interrupt what i am listening to.
you all really hear that much of a difference? because i honestly don't.
