Got too greedy during the boom in the mid to late 2000s.

Yes and no really.

If there was no Clubland sellout, what path was hardcore taking?

Not that I'm entirely knowledgeable about in's and out's but didn't Bonkers publisher go bust? John Peel who helped get core onto BBC radio died and Paul Rodriguez died some time around 2010?

If hardcore didn't become commercial, would the bignames have carried on making stuff throughout and not been so greedy? Probably not. There could have been a boom of those fan funded projects where artists ask for ?10,000 of funding to bring out a handful of tracks.

The Clubland era did a lot of good for the scene. A lot of the albums were filled with bangers and because of the big Clubland backing, the scene grew meaning more raves because of more people attending and more music being made and released.

It was how the bignames behaved after.....

After making some cash, many saw the scene as a constant cashcow by making stuff that sounds like whatever is in the charts at the moment.

Hixxy pissed off to enjoy his full bank account until the funds ran out, then in more recent times came running back and used his previously established name to fast-track his way back to more big cash.

People may say "**** the bignames, who cares", well they have always been the ones in charge and the driving force of the scene. People are saying "**** the bignames" now and what good is it doing? Absolutely **** all. Styles and whoever else is getting 100's of thousands of plays and comments while we are here on a forum that is lucky to get 20 new posts a day.

you can post a photo of a turd on facebook and it will get 10 million shares and comments

forum's died year's ago. especially when they are shit like this one with ancient code you can't read on a 1080p monitor without zooming in, and just pathetic to read on a mobile phone or tablet with no auto adjusting CSS and AJAX/JQUERY

you have to be mentally retarded to use facebook in the first place
