Lots of people will enjoy it though because it's aggressive and they can talk about how 'sick' it is while doing the gun fingers
Haha I can see an MC pulling out a fake machine gun during the drop.
I like that it sounds crazy and agressive. But each to their own.

I generally agree with this. And while I don't dislike it, I feel this idea has become boring so quickly.
Literally every one of these UK Hardcore / Psytrance fusion drops sounds the same:
For example compare it with these:
(1:00), (1:36), (1:16).
I hear no difference!
Controversial opinion, but I don't think the hardcore from today is actually that bad. Sure I agree the producers at the very top are super boring. But I seem to be litterally the only one liking the hardstyle influence. For example I love the new stuff of Rob IYF, Al Storm (hero!), Daniel Seven and Technikore. Some quick picks of recent tracks I enjoy:
Frontliner is a very famous hardstyle producer with this track being an interesting take on the oldschool happy hardcore sound imo.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTGKkk6w2WU A new Hixxy track that is actually quite lovely (3:53).
One of my absoulte favourite tracks by Al Storm that went totally unnoticed because it was released in Japan only.
https://holtunes.bandcamp.com/track/one-more-time And in case you haven't heard it yet, Entity is back with a brand new banger!
Sadly I'm kind of moving away from happy hardcore away, mostly because no one seems to release any new music any more. MVP obviously still are HU, Kniteforce and now fortunately also 24/7. But I see myself listening to more and more hardstyle and frenchcore and hands up, which I noticed can be just as brilliant. Not trying to act like Guest or Smoogie xD but feel free to give these a chance:
Hands Up (super cheesy and the vocals usually suck, but the melodies tend to always be catchy):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi38opdVSKc Hardstyle (especially the new recent trance influence has given this genre a breath of fresh air): https://youtu.be/-CtKPZ9bsNE?t=530 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lUvygoR9qY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQCeVA9lZnM Frenchcore:
Those top 3 track links are farkin brilliant. Exactly the kind of Hardcore I like. Jakka B, Alex Prospect & Darren Styles are definitely moving Hardcore forward to better things.

Its different, and I can see why it works, but thats it for me, I dont wanna hear 400 versions of it.
But it works yeah, something different tbh.
What im finding more funny is the fact that fat **** Hixxy has a podcast !

Thanks! Frenchcore is probably my style at the moment, especially Sefa who has some of the melodies I've ever heard. Hands Up has been kind of dipping in quality lately but in comparison to UK hardcore there are more tracks being released (every year four 3CD sets of fresh new tracks + tons of active labels).

Sounds like Darren Styles was the creator of of it. Seems to go down really well with crowds from what I have seen with his live sets. Usually the lights flash at the same speed.
I'm pretty sure he's the one popularising that style. But like pretty much everything of Hardcore nowadays, the idea probably comes from hardstyle. I think it was this track back in 2016/17 that started it all.

Glad you like them. I can see this style staying around for longer, people go crazy to it live. Here are some more tracks of that style (beyond Styles, Jakka-B tracks and pretty much every hardstyle 170 bootleg):

Oh and before I forget this is probably the right time to promote one of my awful tracks from about 1 or 2 years ago xD. The style of it should be pretty close to it I think. The production qulity and execution in comparison is absolute shit though.
