It's cool... I have a few mixes around my house of my first mixes, the best way to get better at mixing is to record your stuff then listen too it over and over to find your mistakes so you hopefully don't do them again :)

Thats a hard ask, you have to define then when oldskool stopped and happy hardcore, DNB and house started. I think personally it would be a Scooter or Charlie Lownoise and Mental Theo track.... what do other people think?
You might have to start a new message on this one :)

Silver, I listened to RadioDex Fm in Sydney 96.9FM and they had this show called "Aesthetica" and the dj played some classic tunes from Old Skool Breakbeatto Hardcore Jungleand he also played some very Old Skool Happy Hardcore. These are some of the tunes I can remember:
Cosmo & Dibs - "D-Tune"
Luv Dup Jay - "Disillusion"
Dark jungle-like sounds like those created by Jimmy J & Cru-L-T's "Six Days" Some tunes released on Moving Shadow records (out of the UK)
Phantasy/Smooth - "Dream On"
Aphrodite - "You Take Me Up"
Brisk - "Airhead"
Dj Rap/Aston - "Vertigo"
Old School Hardcore!!

What a shame that I wasn't able to listen to your sets, maybe it was because I stopped listening to RadioDex for a few months or maybe because the show/program wasn't widely advertised

there were many happy tunes being played alongside darkside tunes around 91, 92, 93 such as dj force - perfect dreams, happy tunes - rushing on pink champagne, etc, but SMD1 by dj slipmatt in 1993 is what most probably defined whether each tune released afterwards was 4/4 or happy hardcore. this is still played in the happy hardcore and old skool rooms today.
