Noticed during 1992, the rave/hardcore scene had some notable commercial hits as well as a lot of compilations released by major labels during the time.
Noticed acouple of artists during the time entered #2 on 1st week. Smart e's and Shut up and dance.
Would the songs do you think would've been memorized or acknowledged with now compilations etc if they were #1 hits?

What if Bonkers came out in '92? What would have been the selection do you think?

I just listened to Sesame's Treet for the first time in probably over 10 years. I forgot how good it is! It's interesting to think that Luna C and Bang! started at the top of the game and then went onto produce 'Happy' Hardcore rather than the other way around.

At this time?
So....
Modern day now if the scene was all good. Hardcore (Well "old skool" back then) could potentially sell to a chart capacity.
It's really impossible to say as it's all changed.
Back then it could be "shit", unheard of artists that somehow get their stuff pressed to label, which then sells publicly.
These days what are the charts and "Now" about? Overpaid talentless celebs who perform tripe they mime on stage as they can't actually sing, or some stupid shit that goes "viral" as kids around the world have liked it so many times.
I would have said 10 years ago the vocals from impact and resist tracks is chart worthy. I even sid that to gf's I had at the time who would disagree as they hated hardcore (even though they listened to westlife and shit like that)
In other words for your post. What hardcore tracks are decent these days?

What if in 1992 hardcore started to get slower instead of faster.
