i like hardhouse when it sounds like its banging into your skull. i found out about it from an ex who got me soem crappy magazine called "mixmag" yet they had a good c.d. in it called "bosh" wich was pretty good. i like some trance...depends... ive heard some really really good psytrance, but then again i usually cant tell the difference between one psytrance artist and the next. it all sounds the same sometimes....4/4 beat intro..then some trippy high frequencied synth coming in all tryin to sound spooky..then it builds up..and ya think its gonna blow up..then it just takes a poop:(
i dunno. its all "hit n miss" 2 me.

i'm gonna go with trance on this one its a hard decision.
both very good but for different moods,
ya know some times u want to chill
others u want to dance.

just so everyone is clear i'm giving a special prize to the first person to land a buick on the moon.

besides, if you've only recently heard of mr bishi, the guy who gets onto most hard house cd comps and has been cained by most hard house dj's including Pin-up and Andy farley (two extreem ends of the hard house spectrum) since the year 2000 - perhaps you shouldnt be makin commments about whats good and whats not...:P

Since there is no hardcore played out or listened to in da Rep. of Ireland ,All i have to listen ta when i go out is hard house or pop shite(now that switch is gone).

I hh hear it every weekend but i am not activly involved in the scene.
I would not buy any cd comp or vinyl or pay too much attention to wats goin on in da scene.

Wats worse the hh that is played where im from, is Shite the likes of Dj Jean - the launch n other muck like that.

Got this off Ishkurs Guide to Electronic Music n i totally agree wit it

quote:
Pretty interchangeable with Nu-NRG, except where Nu-NRG is hard and driving every once in awhile, Stupid House (better known as UK Hard House for reasons unknown as it sounds neither hard nor housey) is just retarded. It's probably the offbeat bass stabs that lend credence to its defining 'stupid' sound. And the horn fanfares, making it sound like silly circus music. And the crowd cheering samples, which make it seem cheap and gimmicky. But where other party music (Happy Hardcore, Eurodance) has a self-aware, tongue-in-cheek affability, Stupid House here legitimately tries to pass itself off as something serious and genuine. Like actual contentious music. A chip-on-its-shoulder, more-hardcore-than-thou ethos, something so laughably ridiculous even Gabber House looks cooler in comparison. Pretending to be what it's not makes this whole genre fraudulent and insulting to those who just want to have a good time. And that's before you see how the kids dance to it. Stupid House is the bargain bin of electronic music. It also encompasses those signature-melody tracks that are always packaged in 'BEST CLUB ANTHEMS EVER' compilations, like The Launch, which are the musical equivalent of junk food.

Trance all the way. Started getting into some of the newer hard house stuff when some of my fav producers like Melomaniacs, Bolo+Uri etc experimented with it and it has come a long way from the simple repetitive stuff we got saturated with a coupla years back. Both totally different sounds but real trance (stuff that puts you in a trance) not euro trance shit can be beautiful music and creates 1 of the ultimate atmospheres in events and thats why I love it. A lot of the new hardcore stuff is taken from good trance like "Home" and "Come into my Dreams" which can be done well. Just waiting to hear a hardcore mix of Lange's "Follow Me" which i think would work a treat.
