I really only use a CD deck for playing my custom intros that I have burned on disc. All my mixing is done with vinyl.

Promos often come out on CDR these days, and its so much easier to stick your own tune on CD than vinyl.... stilla gree with you on the vinyl bit though, I find turntables so much easier to use than CD decks

Why does the UK love the CDJ100's? They are the cheapest model on the market?

The price is average, so its not totally crap and there is a possibility to get that amount of money... Oh, and i'm from Finland, not UK...

I've never been a great fan of CD decks - it's probably because I prefer the 'hands-on' aspect of mixing (whatever features they manage to introduce I think it unlikely that you'll ever be able to put your hand on the CD!)

I do use CD decks along with my 'proper' ones but as I continue to snap up more old vinyl (stuff that I either stupidly got rid of or didn't buy at the time)
my need for CD's gets less.
I'll probably never totally eliminate CD's from my set up cos there's plenty of fun to be had in dropping bits of other tunes & samples etc. into mixes but I could NEVER imagine using only CD's for a Hardcore set (although I have sadly used CD only for parties & the odd Trance set)!

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

Denon DN-S5000 has the large disc on top spinning just like vinyl, it also has two laser heads so when you do a rewind it actually rewinds insteed of playing what it thinks a rewind should sound (e.g. CDJ1000's and CDJ800 from Pioneer)
