Depends on how well U know the music. If you listen to a ton of the music in the genre you like and have a really good understanding of the exact type of music U like in that genre then you should buy as much as U want to. If you are new to techno or don't know the genre very well I suggest listneing to a lot of it and not buying more than 1-2 records a week max till you know exactly what U want cause that way you don't end up with 100's of records you don't like later on.
