I wanna hear what the Happy crowd thinks about Vinyl's switch to the NRG scene......in my opinion, I think he sold out. But, he can still get the crowd goin'. :)

I feel your love.....it's pushin' me higher, I feel the energy, burnin' like fire.....:)

defiantly a sellout. it's like he puts out all these awesome tunes and then as soon as hhc isn't the biggest thing in the uk anymore he switches to the mainstream. **** a bunch of that, vinylgroover lost my respect a while back. but oh well, let him do his own thing i guess.

Vinylgroover was probably the DJ that really got me into happy hardcore. He's been my favourite happy hardcore DJ until recently when I really got to know the scene and found out he'd just jumped scenes. Personally I think that this is a huge blow to the scene as some of his releases I regard as the best. At the end of the day good luck to him even though he just followed the money.

Smiley: I agree VG is an extreamly good producer and his tunes are excellent, but I have to say that the only reason he had to leave hardcore was he could afford to pay his bills just on hardcore. VG loves hardcore.

The dj's/producers don't actually make that much money out of it. This only because it not commercial, like dance and house etc.....

He was bloody great at the happy hardcore though.

Yeah, I agree Silver. In the UK in 1996, happy hardcore was absolutely unbelievably popular. I may only have been 12 then, but I remember. People who I know hate HHC now even listened to it then.

I think it was just a craze at the time. Nowadays in the UK, only true HHC lovers are still interested.

But do YOU think VG will ever come back?
