Good mixing, man! I am convinced that this genre sometimes can simply turn out to develope being a pain in your ass when it comes to DJ-ing.
Thank you very much for your efforts!

Thanks! :) Yep, you're right, it's a bit tricky since so much is going on in those pretty Nuskool/Oldskool Rave tracks. I used Virtual DJ for the first half of the mix, but the software often didn't recognize the right speed speed, so i had to pitch half of the tracks manually anyway. Also the little lag of the RMX2 Controller messed up some conversions a bit...i guess i have to keep that in mind and finetune the drivers a bit better..
The old records from Psychic Parasite & Co. are also not too DJ-friendly ;) But i really like this "full" and nervous rave melodies.
I tried to keep the conversions plain and simple most of the time, because it should sound like kind of a long voyage, without too many hard cuts or something like that.

I'm no DJ, but these older generations had been able to find a solution without having any technically supports like Virtual DJ, which today's generation uses. I don't want to devalue the efforts that people invest to keep the old rave spirit alive (I adore their efforts!), but to my opinion the simple plain solutions back these days (radical transitions instead of making long mixtures between songs) has always turned out to be a very fruitful solution for such problems. These days people seem to care way to much in develope their mixes to state of perfection!

Yes, and so do I love such toons although I prefer the 4 to the floor beats! These choons completely prove that Breakbeat is one of the roots of Hardcore!
