A lot of you probably remember the Hardcore Producer series of albums that I made with Sparkz. For those of you that don't, they where a free to download series of 3 albums that featured tracks from the members of the hardcoreproducer.org forums. We where going to do a 4th album, but the hardcore scene and the forum died down a little and it never took off. That was years ago. A couple months ago I was feeling really nostalgic about those albums, so I decided to create a spiritual successor to the Hardcore Producer albums.
I got a bunch of the old guys from the HP albums and a bunch of new people, together we created this awesome compilation. It features 21 amazing songs from artist such as Triplestar, Mitomoro, Mansy, Stabilize, myself (Nakura), Sparkz and more. Everyone worked really hard on this album and it shows, it's fantastic! I am really happy with how it turned out and think it is a more than worthy successor to Hardcore Producer.
You can download it for free from here - https://hardbooted.bandcamp.com/album/hardbooted You can grab the original Hardcore Producer albums here if you don't have them already or have lost them: Volume 1 @ https://goo.gl/4N8ttN Volume 2 @ https://goo.gl/1VBklW Volume 3 @ https://goo.gl/zal9wd ## Tracklist 01-Stabilize - Legion 02-Nakura - Unshakable (Triplestar Remix) 03-Mansy & Tra-C - Thinking About You (Sparkz Remix) 04-Future Hero - Rainbow Express (Mitomoro Remix) 05-SEASON - We Both Cry (Nakura Remix) 06-Mansy & Tra-C - With Or Without You 07-Stabilize - The Rise 08-Twilight Meadow - The Worlds We Discoverd (Illumize Remix) 09-Parallel Process - Neverland 10-Nakura - When I Think About You (KAiZAfox Remix) 11-Mansy & Tra-C - In The Night Sky 12-Skyler Jay - Eins Zwei Polizei 13-Mansy & Tra-C - Wonderland 14-Nakura - Dreamcatcher 15-Skyler Jay - Complexity (Hardbooted Edit) 16-One-Point - SDR 17-The Dopeman - Now I'm Blasted (Dopecore Mix) 18-The Dopeman - You Can Dance 19-One-Point - Language Barrier 20-The Dopeman - Drop It 21-Zovi - Antiglossolalia (feat. Ive not heard of him for god knows how many years. Dunno if he just stopped producing or moved to another genre. Scott Bounce took over the fourms.

I don't think I ever knew him unfortunately :( I guess he was before my time on the forum. I only ever knew Scott Bounce.

I am really happy that I decided to create Hardbooted. The HP albums where great and a lot of fun to make, It feels good to have that back in a way.

Wow, I am really honored that something I created/co-created introduced you to a genre of music I am really passionate about. That is awesome!
It may be a few months before I seriously start work on the next one, I need some time to recharge. You can submit stuff to me now though I suppose. I will hold on to it until work seriously starts.
If anyone wants to submit tracks for the next Hardbooted, you can do so here - hardbootedproject[AT]gmail[DOT]com

Great work. There are quite some gems on this.
Had been lurking on the producer forum in the past but activity was very low. Probably would have contributed if i had known (maybe next time?).
I very much like that you didn't do the "loud as ****"-mastering as it's still usual for the genre, but they are also quite dark.

I've been listening to this recently, and there are quite a few I like.

The mastering is better than some stuff out there, though it's still too loud for my tastes. The album average is DR 5.

Next volume, I will get you guys here involved with it.
I don't like to push my masters too hard. What do you mean by "dark"?

http://productionadvice.co.uk/how-to-avoid-over-compressing-your-mix/ This article can explain it better than I can. The DR value is a rough measurement of dynamic range produced by the TT Dynamic Range Meter. There are newer and better ways to measure dynamic range, in particular the R128 standard, but the DR meter gives a very good idea of how compressed the music is, and it is a useful reference.

Less high frequency content than in other tracks. I know this is something to taste as well.

Howdy, I am still here. Not so much producing anymore.
Damn. I miss those MSN messenger days of sending out half baked tracks :)
Hope you are doing well.

Oh, cool. Thanks for that, I will have to look more into this when I have time.
