He did used to play a Scot Project tune called Hands In The Air, pretty sure thats on this set? I went to this rave too, just going off memory as I haven't listened to your link

You could be thinking of the Scot Project remix of Arome - Hands Up.

i got that whitelabel. I like how it was listed as a hardcore remix EP on imorecords, when it was barely pitched up or anything :P

I remember that coming out. There were a few I think, dodgy timestretches and pitched up hard trance tracks. Hold Me Tonight was another one. I used to run them through Wavelab, the time stretch thing on there was surprisingly good.

Well, yeah, that is true. I wouldn't say it was totally wrong to simply call it trance, most people here would know what was meant, but regardless - my initial question has yet to be answered!

The only people I know that ever called it happy hardcore back then were not even into the music.
I only started referring to the 90s stuff as 'happy hardcore' in the 2000s, to differentiate the two.
