I AM: A guy who does not sleep alot, spends to much time on message boards. I downhill skateboard, and party, play pcgames way to late into the morning hours. I also play hockey and do all kinds of other shit. Yet i dont rave, no good ones in detroit.

alrite - im Rob and am from the UK, (Bedford) am 18 and an MC. I help run a DJ/MC Website and have been raving for about a year now - got into the music about 4 years ago though. I'm getting a bit more into the oldskool more and more however

I've been in love with dance music since.... about 1996. I've always liked all different styles and it's been impossible to develop my own sound as a dj because I would like and buy tracks from so many different genres.... blah blah blah.
Long story short: I bought some happy hardcore records from some guy that was selling all of his. THIS MUSIC IS THE MOST FUN TO SPIN! I love it! I've always loved hardcore (the un-happy variety) but the energy and beauty in HHC is like nothing else. Also, coming to this board and seeing all of you people who are so passionate about this music has changed my outlook completely. It's nice to see people who aren't afraid to be themselves and to actually be nice to each other and help each other out and admit that they like cheesy lovesick vocals (I sure as hell do).
I wish I would have found HHC sooner (I"m 24) because I've found a new passion for spinning because of this music. It's great, cuz there's all these classic tracks that, for maybe a lot of you, are old hat. For me, it's all new! I think the tune that really made me see the light would have to be Eyeopener. Beautiful.
I think that's enough of an intro.
