I consider myself more of a hardcore fan, but recently I've grown fond on hardtek/frenchcore/tribecore. Anyone know any websites ? la hardcorehighlights for this genre?
Anyways, I am interested in you people's opinions on the genre!

I briefly got interested in this a few years ago and bought a bunch of tracks - it's really good fun actually but I never really got that much into it and the novelty kinda wore off. I certainly appreciate that it exists, anyway.

I like DJ Sharpnel's kind Frenchcore, which is more of a blend of j-core (the melodic bit) and a gabbery kickdrum (the frenchcore bit)

Yea it's definitely not. Here's an example of hard techno, a set by Petduo.

No it's nothing like it really. Hardtek is faster and isn't as hard. Tends to have quite an oldskool feel to it with ravey sounds (but quite minimal) and lots of drums and percussion in places to give it a tribal feel. One of my mates has some good mixes on his Soundcloud if you're interested in hearing some - https://soundcloud.com/martin-poison I quite like it personally.

AudioWarfare: "MartinPoison' sounds a lot like 'Acid Techno' is there really a difference? I thought it was all just 'Underground Techno' anyways!

What mix are you listening to, he plays various stuff. This is a Hardtek mix - https://soundcloud.com/martin-poison/find-no-garlic-here-tribe-mix It's faster than Acid Techno and quite different to the traditional Acid sound. There may well be tunes with heavy acid in them though. This is Acid Techno - https://soundcloud.com/mobile-dogwash/mobile-dogwash-sounds-of-wasps Quite distinctly different even outside of the speed difference.

Because when they went the trance route after Bonkers 8, they brought in fans that prefered that style.

To be fair I doubt a lot of people who make and listen to Hardcore have heard of it. Plus modern synths have the presets that Trap and House artists are currently using. ;) A lot of the influences on Hardcore productions at any given time are driven by popular synths and the sound banks that are available for them.
I would love to hear some more Hardtek influences Hardcore tbh, that would be awesome.

If you ask me it sounds like Hardtek is influenced by Hardcore (not neccesarily UK Hardcore).
