hi, a friend just gave me his stereo integrated kenwood amp, which is a sub section of his hi fi system. i was wondering if this would be effective if i used that for my decks, as i am currently just using my hifi. the other problem is that my hifi is aiwa, so would this work?

that depends on what you mean by your 'hi-fi' if this means a lil mini system type thing then probably not, but you could use it in place of your other amp if its a better amp? and yeah it should be fine just make sure you hook from the main out on your mixer to a line in on the amp, ie cd.. => but make sure you dont hook it to phono, or you've got a good chance of damaging your amp and/or speakers...
